Cat Advanced Efficiency Oil Filters contain an improved filtering mediawhich captures more contaminants, reducing wear on critical oil-lubri-cated engine components. This results in extended life and improvedperformance. The graphs below illustrate the efficiency of the 1R-1807and 1R-1808 filters as compared to their Standard EfficiencyCounterparts.

Reserve Dirt-Holding Capacity

Although higher-efficiency filters accumulate dirt more quickly thanStandard Efficiency filters, Cat Advanced Efficiency Engine Oil filtersdo not require a shortened change interval. They feature a reservedirt-holding capacity, which compensates for the majority of dirt ac-cumulation increase, letting customers maintain standard oil changeintervals. Selection GuidelinesIn order to choose the right filter for your machine, always begin by consulting themaintenance manual for proper change interval and recommended filter part num-bers. It is usually safe to substitute a higher-efficiency filter, but NEVER substitute alower-efficiency filter than the one recommended.If your transmission or hydraulic system has a filter bypass dash indicator and aStandard filter is recommended, you can use an Advanced Efficiency or UHE. If youdo not have a bypass indicator, consult your Cat Dealer before upgrading.

Cat Hydraulic and Transmission Filters

A line of Cat Transmission Filters has been introduced to better meet the specific needsof transmission applications. The new Cat Transmission Filters feature a synthetic mediadesigned to deliver a high level of filtration performance and to reduce pressure dropsacross the media. Air filters, also called air cleaners, are responsible for continuously cleaning the aircoming into the engine or machine cab. Air filters are designed to effectively re-move contaminants such as dust, dirt, soot and other air-born particulates. Cat Fil-ters are available in Standard Efficiency and Ultra High Efficiency, providing thebest protection for your machine.

Standard Efficiency Air Filters
