WHAT IS FILM DISTRIBUTION?

Film distribution is the process in which allows the

film to be viewed by the targeted audience. It is also

the case of a company handling the releases of the

film such as:

Marketing

Home Release (movies-on-demand, download,

television etc)

DVD release

WHEN DISTRIBUTING THE FILM

There are many factors in which are to be

considered before showcasing the target audience

the film, these include:

Will the film make any profit

Success in the marketing aspect

Rank compared to other films that are in

competition

Star power – casting that will draw attention

FILM 4

We have decided to use FILM4 as our film distributor to our film

‘BLACKOUT’. This is due to the many successful films in which FILM4 has

distributed as well as the film we are making is a low budget film where FILM4

have a reputation in making low budget films into award winning successes.
