THE GOAL OF FEED THE CHILDREN They deliver food, medicine, clothing, and

other necessities to individuals, children & families who lack these essentials due to famine, war, poverty, or natural disaster.

They allow people to sponsor a child monthly which provides them with food, books,& medical supplies.

They encourage people to go on trips to impoverished places first hand to help out & change their perspective on life.

HISTORY OF FEED THE CHILDREN Larry and Frances Jones are Co- Founders of

Feed the Children which they started over 27 years ago.

Larry was inspired to start Feed the Children after he got to personally know starving children on a trip to Haiti.

They started with the office in their kitchen, and it is now the 9th largest charity in the United States.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS OVER THE YEARS In 2005, the organization distributed 183

million pounds of food & other essentials to children & families in all 50 states and in 65 foreign countries.

The organization supplemented more than 1,463,000 meals a day worldwide.

They sent 40 million pounds of food to victims of Hurricane Katrina & 31 million pounds to the Asian tsunami victims in 2004.
