Soon the members will be voting on the 55 plus DeedRestriction
Amendment. A special meeting will be held at theClubhouse on
Wednesday February 27th at 7:00 pm to answerany questions you may
have. We have posted additional informa-tion on our website

The pool deck-resurfacing project will begin this month. We
willmake every effort to limit the pools down time. Once
completedwe feel confident that the current residents and
prospective buy-ers will look out on the pool and be very
impressed.
A reminder to those homes living along Brookridge Blvd;
Pleaseedge your lawn back off the roadway in preparation for the
sealcoating and striping work coming up. This will help reduce
thecost of extra work needed before they seal coat. Again, Thank
youto those homeowners that I have noticed have already complet-ed
the edging.
If you plan to leave Florida early this year due to the heat,
pleaseremember to turn in vacation cards and check for loose
objectsaround the yard. They could become projectiles if we get

We have not had our first camera club meeting of the NewYear, as
of the date of this writing. Therefore, there is notmuch to
report.
There are two field trips I would like to suggest for the
com-ing months. The first is a trip to the Homosassa
SpringsWildlife State Park. There are several new exhibits to
seesince our last visit to the park. The second is a trip toRainbow
Springs State Park when the azaleas are in bloomat their peak. We
did this several years ago and made somebeautiful pictures. The
azaleas usually peak between lateFebruary and early March.
Our meetings include a chance for members to display theirwork
and receive constructive critiques of their pictures. AQuestion and
Answer period, where questions about cam-era operation and
photographic techniques may be asked, isalso included at each
meeting. We learn about photographyfrom each other, plan
photographic field trips and enjoy thisinteresting and creative
hobby.
Come and join us, bring your pictures, your camera and
yourquestions.
Please visit our Photo Gallery in the Clubhouse hallway tosee
what our members have accomplished. You will bepleasantly
surprised.
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 27th at10:00 AM
in Room D at the Clubhouse.
For the latest information about our clubs activities,
pleasecall Otto Saalborn at 597-9840.

We are looking forward to our Valentines Day party onWednesday
February 13th, when we are all done our dresswhites and use wooden
rackets. This year we will play at8:00 in the morning then treat
ourselves and our sweet-hearts and guests to lunch at Guidos
restaurant. We willtry to get a head count for reservations at our
Februarymeeting.
At our January meeting, dates were set for our parties nextyear,
2014, in order to reserve a spot in the clubhouse. Anda note was
made to save Wednesday March 13th, this yearfor our St Patricks Day
party in the clubhouse. Annual duesof $10 are now payable for 2013.
Coffee and bagels withcream cheese were served after
adjournment.
A few of us took a road trip to visit the Pickle Ball courts
atHighpoint. This game is played on courts roughly half thesize of
a tennis court. The paddles are similar to, but slight-ly larger
than ping pong paddles. The balls are hard plasticwiffle balls with
holes, each ball a little bigger than a tennisball. We decided to
give this sport a try here on our tenniscourts on Thursday
afternoons at 2:00 pm, weather permit-ting. We have purchased 4
wooden paddles and 4 balls tostart - for all to try. We will tape
off the tennis courts toapproximately the standard size for Pickle
Ball and see whathappens! Everyone is welcome to give it a try.
We are out there taking advantage of the great weatherevery
morning from 8 till 10, except for Sundays. It would begreat to see
some new faces! All skill levels are welcome.
