Service area: Fixed-route service within the City of Lincoln including historic downtown, along Highway 65, and area north of the ravine. Dial-A-Ride service to any location within a ¾-mile radius of fixed-route and the Del Webb Community.

TRANSIT CONNECTIONS IN SOUTH PLACER COUNTY
DIAL-A-RIDE / TYPES OF FARES / TICKETS & PASSESDIAL-A-RIDEThere are three types of specialized transportation programs in south Placer County. Dial-A-Ride is a shared-ride service that operates on a demand-response basis, while deviated fixed-route services follow a scheduled route but can travel off the route upon request. Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services provide rides to and from scheduled medical appointments when other transportation is not available. Placer County Transit, Roseville Transit, and Lincoln Transit all offer Dial-A-Ride services, while Health Express provides NEMT service. Auburn Transit and Placer County Transit’s Taylor Road Shuttle offer deviated fixed-route service for the general public.
Dial-A-Ride services are open to the general public with discount fares available to seniors, persons with disabilities, and ADA-certified passengers. Prospective users who wish to be certified as ADA-eligible should complete an application for the Dial-A-Ride service they intend to use. Anyone using a discounted fare should have appropriate identification. Contact South Placer Transit Information to place ride requests.
When calling to make a Dial-A-Ride or NEMT reservation or request a deviated fixed-route pick-up, please have the following information ready:
- Your name- Whether you will be bringing an accompanying passenger- Phone number- Home address- Pick-up address- Desired pick-up time and appointment time (if applicable)- Desired destination address- Mobility needs (for example, if you use a walker, wheelchair, scooter, etc.)- Return trip pick-up time
Eligibility requirements as well as hours of operation, service areas, and wait-time protocols may vary by operator. Fares also vary, so check with the operator ahead of time.

TYPES OF FARESBASE FARES:All passengers pay the regular base fare unless eligible for a discount fare. There are different base fares for local, commuter, and Dial-A-Ride services, so check with each individual transit operator for the most current fare information.
DISCOUNTS:Some passengers are eligible for discounted fares on certain transit systems. These include:
SeniorsAge 60 and older.
StudentsAges 5 through 18 on Roseville Transit; ages 6 through 12 on Placer County Transit, Auburn Transit, and Lincoln Transit.
Persons with Disabilities / Medicare Card HoldersProof of eligibility required; contact local provider for eligibility application.
ResidentsRoseville commuter customers living in Roseville qualify for a discount; Roseville Resident Commuter ID card required.
FREE FARES:Children under age 5Up to two children under age 5 may ride free with each fare-paying adult (Note: children under age 6 ride free on Placer County Transit and Auburn Transit).
TransfersFree transfers between operators are available upon request at boarding. Transfers between Lincoln Transit routes are available upon request. Enjoy unlimited rides on Placer County Transit with a 24-hour pass, on Roseville Transit with a daily pass, or with the use of any multi-ride pass.

TICKETS & PASSESADVANCED PURCHASE:For your convenience, multi-ride tickets and passes for each operator can be purchased in advance. Passes are sold in quantities ranging from 10 to 40 rides (depending on the operator), by the month, or for a set number of days (e.g., 30-day pass).

Summer Youth Bus Pass
For a modest fee, Placer County youth from elementary to high school can enjoy unlimited rides on all Placer County fixed-route bus services (excluding commuter services) from June 1 to August 31. Summer Youth Bus Passes are available at all advance purchase locations. The Pass is also good for discounts at selected local merchants and restaurants.

Transit AmbassadorsInterested in riding the bus but not sure how to get started? Transit Ambassadors can get you on your way! The volunteer-based program was created to make learning to ride the bus a comfortable experience. Our trained volunteers are knowledgeable about all local fixed-route systems in south Placer County and are available to answer questions and offer a helping hand. Bikes On BoardBikes ride free on all bus systems in south Placer County. Most buses are equipped with a rack on the front that carries two or three bikes. Just remember, bike racks are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Senior & Priority SeatingSeats at the front of the bus are considered priority seating for seniors and passengers with disabilities. Federal law requires bus drivers to request passengers (who are able) vacate priority seating when needed.
Mobility DevicesAll public buses in south Placer County are equipped with wheelchair lifts and at least one wheelchair securement area. Any mobility device that complies with ADA guidelines can be transported on the bus; however, passengers are encouraged to check with their local operator to verify individual vehicle capabilities. Your bus driver will assist you in boarding the bus and collect your fare. Bus drivers are required to safely secure any passengers boarding in mobility devices (wheelchairs, scooters, etc.). For safety reasons, we recommend you also use your own seatbelt to secure yourself in your wheelchair or mobility device.
Title VIThe transit operators of south Placer County operate their programs without regard to race, color, or national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the individual operator or the Federal Transit Administration within 180 days of the alleged offense.

ADAThe Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ensures that all services and facilities are accessible to all citizens, regardless of age or physical limitation. Transit operators in south Placer County supplement fixed-route services with complementary curb-to-curb paratransit service on an application-approved basis.
ADA eligibility is based on functional criteria limiting an individual’s ability to use a regular fixed-route bus. To request an application for ADA eligibility or for more information about paratransit services, contact South Placer Transit Information at 745-7560.
