PROTAGONIST

• GUY MONTAG• Starts out as a fire man who only burns books.

In the book its said that in the future will lose the right to read.

• He later in the book gets a change of heart fights for the right to read along with the help of his good friends.

• BEATTY• BEATTY is the captin of the firing crew he has

choices for good but still chooses to strive for evil

• Although he is an educated reader he as issues the art of reading and chooses to burn books

all the others seems to the most truthful• Clarisse McClellan influences Guy Montag to

open his eyes and experience the joy of reading

EXPOSISION

• The beginning of the book introduces the first two characters Guy and Clarisse.

• Tells how they meet outside the fire station on the side walk

• Starts out describing how the fire burning process makes Guy feel and what he goes through while doing it.

RISING ACTION

• GUY MONTAG’S wife try’s to commit suicide • They get a call of a women hiding books. They

are called just burn the books but the women chooses to be burned alive with her books .

CLIMAX

• The climax of the book is when Clarisse gets hit by a speeding car and loses her life.

• This allows Guy to change his emotions towards books and look in to reading

• Beaty try’s to get him guy pulls a fast one and burns one of his own fireman.

• They send dogs after him to catch him

• Guy Montag has to escape the tracking dogs that were cent to find descising his cent.

• He later joins a resitence group who are undercover readers

television and other electronics• You may say to your self how can TV and

electronics be abusive .• Majority of young people ages 8-18 spend 7

1/2 hours watching TV or on some electronic device, not counting cell phones and ipods.
