Life is to LookForward Forever

Life

Life is to look forward forever!

There always contains challenges and stress to study in China, although there is joy to live in China. Everyone here is eager to gain a chance to relax themselves for a while. I too want the same chance. I told myself this is the best chance for me to do so. I told myself just to relax without thinking about anything.

While the trees may prefer calm, the wind will not subside. When every second I hear the calling captain, it seems that there is something on my shoulder; I always appeared at the end of the team, because that would guarantee everyone’s safety as well as mine.

I’ve found a cute girl who I like, I feel so sad that I can’t share my feelings with her. I don’t want to influence anyone’s emotions during this 21 day journey. It seems that I live in fear. I remember my parents, my family, and friends. But, is this for me? Why can’t I make some choices by myself? Youth is the principle, I scale what? I am on the way, there are lots of people who want to make choices for me, I push them away, and then smile. I want to go by myself. When I want to give loose myself, I ask myself, who are you? There exists a long way for me to travel.

On January 17, 2012, the Inland Empire experienced a culture blast as Chinese college students visited our country for

a fun and educational trip. This experience is what I like to call C.O.O.L because Chinese and American citizens both experienced “Cultures from other Lands”. This trip was organized and set up by Educational Resource Development Trust (ERDT), a nonprofit organization that partners with universities in China to allow students and teachers to travel to the United States where they can experience the American culture.

During this trip, Chinese students visited many places, such as the police and fire departments, high schools and colleges, and the happiest place on earth - Disneyland! Although they came to learn, they enjoyed every second of living here because of the great freedoms our country allows us and the beauty of the Inland Empire. During their visit, students stayed with host families that were kind enough to open their hearts and homes to great students. The host families were so happy to have the students in their homes for their stay and the students absolutely loved their host families. The Chinese exchange students realized that there are many nice people in America, a trait that they found really strange.

“...they still managed to

create lifelong friendships...”

I worked as a coordinator. My job was to make sure that everything was okay with the students and to ensure all problems

were resolved. I tried to maintain an authoritarian demeanor, but it quickly disappeared as I began to become a

friend. This job was a really cool experience for me. Although they called

me teacher, I will always be there lifetime California friend.

Their trip lasted only 17 days, but they still managed to create lifelong

friendships with every American they encountered. Even though the students

have gone back home, more will be coming in the summer. You too can join

the C.O.O.L experience by contacting ERDT. It will definitely be an enjoyable

culture shock for both you and the Chinese student.

April Fools!!!!! The constant saying that captures the world on the 1st of April. A day full of pranks, laughs, giggles, and tricks. But where does it come from?

The history of April Fools’ Day also known as All Fool’s Day is vague. It is thought to have evolved from several cultures surrounding the first day of spring. Historians have been able to trace it back to 1582 in France. In years prior to 1582, New Year’s was celebrated for eight days beginning March 25. Charles IX then introduced the Gregorian calendar moving New Year’s to January 1. When this change occurred, many received the news late because couriers had to travel by foot. The individuals that did know and chose to keep the old calendar were called fools, and became the punch of every joke.

In the end, this created a new tradition that every culture took on in their own way. So dust off your bag of tricks and get ready to prank some folks because it’s all fair in the name and game of April Fools’ Day!

APRIL FOOL’S DAYBy Tatyana Hutton

The answer to your question,Is love isn’t an emotion,It’s more of an action,

more of a choice if reckoned.Though time and time again I treat it as if

it were my last breath. Not thinking just acting.

So naïve to the predicted painand when it finally happensI’m numb even paralyzed.

Telling myself I could never lovethat I might as well give up,

but then I saw my heart wondering somewhereI wanted to run and feel cupid’s arrow but I was scared.

So I sat until I couldn’t take it anymore. That’s when we found each other and explored.

What love really meant,to be a helping hand, and a friend.

To be mute when everything is loud, and to always stand and never sit around.

So as I had stated, this is my explanation of my answer to your question

about what love isand has been.

The DMV, Department of Motor Vehicles, is a government entity that was designed to regulate and control the laws of owning a motor vehicle. They provide people with their State Identification Cards, Permits to drive, and also their Driver’s License. The DMV a very much needed entity, but if you are a victim of having to visit one then you know that it is the most annoying place to visit. That’s why I call it “DMV, Drama Over Motor Vehicles”. With a simple visit to the DMV and you will experience every level of stress you can have. Similar to dealing with grief, there are seven levels of disbelief you witness and face.

When you first walk in to the DMV the first thing that’s noticeable is the extremely long lines that you have to stand in. You become shocked, thinking there is no way I have to stay in this line. To get past waiting for eternity in the line, you deny that you have to wait that long. Once that shock wears off the second level of disbelief sets in.

After three hours pass and you’re still not at the front of the line, the pain of waiting sets in and you begin to hurt inside and feel guilty for even having to come. You begin to wish that you’d have stayed home, or did something else with your day. Although the long lines are very painful to deal with, you are still in for more stress throughout your visit. After you feel guilty, then you begin to feel angry with everyone and everything you see.

You’ve been standing in line for over three hours now, and over the intercom you hear, “All systems are down, it may be best to come back tomorrow.” Now you are angry and mad at the world. You begin to bargain saying, “If you please just let me get to the front of the line I will never lie again, I promise.” Of course we have no power over this, and level four of disbelief sets in.

You are now depressed about the unbelievable line, so you begin to think about all of the bad

things you’ve in your life to deserve being in this line. Thoughts about the lies you may have told, the

people you may have angered, and whether or not you have been a good enough person go through your mind. You begin to feel like you are all alone in this world filled with billions of people. After these four stages of your visit, you finally make it to the front of the line and that’s when level five sets in.

You are happy you made it to the front of the line, you get up to the desk with all of your information and paper work that you had to fill out. You are feeling happy and confident that your business will be quick. That is until you actually talk to the one of the old, and usually grumpy man or woman working there. This man or woman is usually rude, and makes you feel like an idiot for even being in there line. But you don’t mind them, you know you did everything right and will get out in the next five minutes. This is when level six sets in.

You begin to reconstruct your thoughts, your brain becomes more functional, and begins to try to find a solution to the problem of your day. You work through it by being extremely nice to the worker and giving them all information that they may need to get your business finished. Then level seven of disbelief sets in, the best stage of all.

You faced every stage of disbelief. You accept the fact that you dealt with long lines, unfriendly customer service and filling out long forms. You are happy and ready to go home. It is at this moment of acceptance that the worker tells you that you’ve filled out the information wrong, and you have to redo it, including getting back in line. The seven stages start all over again. In the end, to avoid the long lines and filling out the wrong papers make sure to set an appointment the day you want to go, and research all the paperwork and information you need. Hopefully you will have a more enjoyable experience at the DMV, Drama Over Motor Vehicle.
