Week 1Introduction: Welcome to the course, overview of the lessons. Talking about good practice in Presentations.

Everyone will introduce themselves and explain why they need to learn about presenting in English.

Week 2Technical Tips: Looking at PowerPoint and other presentation software. Do’s and don’ts of slide design

The ‘Beyond Bullet Points’ approach

Week 3 Technical Tips: Slide master view, animations and tricks of the trade. Some useful information about setting up your presentation

Week 4 Planning the presentation: Overview, outlining, thinking about the audience, aims and how to get ideas across

Week 5 Building the presentation: Adding content, structuring, notes for presentingWeek 6 Giving the presentation: Body language, revising, preparing.

Week 7 Time to present! Cohort A 1st presentation Peer review and evaluation

Week 8 Time to present! Cohort B 1st presentation Peer review and evaluation

Week 9 Feedback on the presentations. Workshop and review.

Review the ideas we have learned and remember what we have forgotten
