Meet Gamma Kappa 1560—Aaron Finnegan
Brother Aaron
Finnegan grew up in
Eureka, MO in west
St. Louis County and
graduated from
Eureka High School in
2007. Aaron is cur-
rently a sophomore
at the University.
Aaron decided to
become a Lambda Chi Alpha because
he notices that Lambda Chi had a very
strong new member program. He also
wanted to be a part of something that
could help him get involved on campus,
and when he joined Lambda Chi had
numerous members involved in external
organizations. The final push that
Aaron got to become a Lambda Chi
was his father who was a member of
Lambda Chi at Missouri State.
Aaron said that being an associate
was one of the best times in his life. He
got to meet his new brothers which he
knows will be some of his friends for the
rest of his life.
During Aaron’s time in the fraternity
he has held many positions. As a fresh-
man he started out as the historian, then
became the sober driving coordinator,
dance director and High Epsilon, social
chairman. Aaron then became the re-
cruitment chairmen and was able to re-
cruit two classes. Last fall had 28 new
members and this spring has 18 new
members. Aaron said that is most memo-
rable moment so far has been him being
able to see all the new members bond
and make friendships, taking advantage
of what Lambda Chi Alpha has to offer.
Aaron is currently the Public Relations
Chairman for the chapter.
Not only is Aaron very involved with
Lambda Chi Alpha, he has had numerous
positions on campus as well. Aaron has
been the Scholarship director, New
Greek Educator and Greek Ambassador
for the IFC Council. Aaron is a volunteer
for STRIPES (a university sober driving
program). He is a current justice for the
Greek Judicial Board, a GAMMA (Greek
Advocating a Mature Management of
Alcohol) steering committee member, and
is on the 2009 Homecoming Steering
Committee, where he will host the talent
portion of Homecoming skits. He is a
Trulaske Scholar for the College of Busi-
ness and is a current pledge to the Alpha
Kappa Psi Business Fraternity.
Aaron is currently majoring in Mar-
keting with a minor in Spanish. He plans
on graduating in 2011. Once Aaron
graduates he plans on moving to a big
city and finding a fun job.
