The Christmas Tea is the big fundraiser that enables us to reach out to
the inmates’ children and the children in the Appalachian Mountains. The
money that is donated at this event will provide for the Bibles for Kids, the
items to fill the Christmas stockings and help families in the Mountains.
Every dollar you donate goes toward this work for the children. We
are asking you to share this ministry for the children with your family,
friends and co-workers, and ask them to be a part of reaching out to these
little ones in need and show them the love of Jesus.
Bibles for Kids
We give out (1 Bible per family) The Action Bible (to the older kids) and Jesus
Calling Bible storybook (to the younger kids). When they are on sale, we can pur-
chase the Jesus Calling for $9.99 and The Action Bible for $14.99. This is
the most important gift a child will ever receive.
Christmas Stockings
We fill Christmas stockings that are given out to inmates’ children that come for visits dur-
ing the Christmas holidays. There are many churches and ministries that are
helping in this area of ministry. They are located in Indiana, Lexington, Mt Wash-
ington, Shepherdsville and other loca- tions across Kentucky and southern Indi-
ana. One ministry cannot fill and distrib- ute 7000 stockings by themselves and
without the help of these faithful servants of God these children would not receive a gift
when they go to visit their Dad-or-Mom during Christmas. Let us give them a “Praise God” and don’t
forget to remember them in your prayers.
Appalachian Mountains
Last year with the help of Pastor Delph in Letcher County, we helped 100 families. This year
we are helping out in Letcher County and extending over into Perry County. This is coal min-
ing country and most of the mines have been closed and the jobs in this area are none existing.
What ever you can do to help would be appreciated. These kids need coats, caps, gloves,
shoes, socks, underwear-any kind of clothing. Pastor Delph has already picked up about 50
coats that we had purchased-but we need many more.
There are 2 dear ladies in Florida that crochet blankets, caps, sweaters and gloves for the
mountain project. They begin after Christmas and spend several months crocheting the items
and getting them ready for the following Christmas.
Thanks to all who help in any area of ministry to the kids. You are making a difference!

Christian Martial Arts Academy has done a “Kids Helping Kid’s” Kick-A-Thon for the Christ-
mas Stocking Project for the last 2 years. We are excited to participate again this year. Chil-
dren have such a tender heart toward others, and are very gener-
ous in wanting to help others who are hurting. We ask each of our
students to do 100 kicks at a specified class time and to get dona-
tions for the number of kicks that they do. We ask them to raise
$10.00! That is not an overburdening amount to raise, BUT 9 times
out of 10 they raise much MORE than that! Of course, we throw in
some incentives for individuals and classes who raise the most
money. In the two years that we have done this, our students have
raised over $8,000.00 for the Christmas Stocking Project! The one
who does the most kicks also receives a prize! There is a great
spirit of competition that goes on between our students, but most of
all they love being able to help others. They are showing the true love of Christ through help-
ing those in need, and showing His great love for all, no matter their circumstances.
If you are involved with a group that works with children either through sports, scouts,
youth groups or clubs, encourage them to jump on board! Be creative in your fundraising ef-
forts! Set a goal to help these precious children, and let’s help the Christmas Stocking Project
raise the most money they’ve ever raised and be the biggest blessing they’ve ever been!
