• 1. I like my school magazinefront cover .It doesntfollow many conventions if Ilook back and look at it butit is colourful and looksextremely different from mymusic magazine which usesmore subtle colours . Mynew magazine is organisedand concise. It uses aclearer image and looksmuch more like aconventional magazine .Inmy own opinion I amenticed/ drawn more to themusic magazine as it seemsto offer more informationand looks like it will featurebetter content.

2. I feel that I have learnt overthe time. Looking back at mypreliminary task contentspage ( right) I followedhardly any magazineconventions. It looks veryunorganised and off-puttingto anyone who would wantto read it. A main thing I cantell I have improved on is theoverall layout .Pictures in mymusic magazine areorganised and aligned.Content information isorganised on right third,pictures on the two leftthirds. The magazine logo isis also positioned on the topleft , a common conventionused in music magazines andthat I something I didnt doin my school magazine. Ilearnt how to use photoshoprather than illustrator todevelop a more conventionalmagazine. 3. I didnt create a doublepage for my collegemagazine but I think if Idid I would see a lot ofimprovements just likemy other pages . 4. Question 7 Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? As a whole I feel that I have learnt how to use magazineconventions effectively and precisely to recreate a musicmagazine that will sell and attract a target audience.When creating my college magazine I did not researchother magazines and you can tell this from the finalproduct that it was more my own concept of a collegemagazine rather than a conventional college magazine. Ifeel that by looking back at my preliminary task you cansee the changes and improvements of technology , colourscheme , fonts , photos included , layout and overallpresentation of the magazines. 5.
