Evaluation question 6 WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT? We used this to create our group blog in which we present all our work and which we are all admins, we learned how to make admins and how to add tags to present all of our work in an organized format, this permitted us to track our progress. We used this to upload constructions of our videos and sequences we attempted before shooting which was vital. Youtube also allowed us to conduct our research on existing film openings, which we were influenced by. Youtube also helped with the actual making of the video and we were able to access tutorials on how to make scary doll make up which was very helpful when we came to creation of the video, it was very efficient. Youtube also taught us about other existing technologies and we followed tutorials for after effects, premiere pro, live type, etc. We used prezi to convey certain research, planning and evaluation. It was very useful as it broke up the amount we used powerpoint or word. However to convey certain research, planning and evaluation we also used powerpoint and word documents as it was different to sticking to one format, which I liked. We used technologies such as adobe premiere pro cs6, live type and after effects for the construction of our video, we learned to import every single clip, dub sound, and edit each clip that we wanted to use. It was very time consuming but once we learned how to use it properly is became very easy, especially through the help of tutorials on youtube. For example, we learned how to use a cross dissolve which we used for our credits, we then used the edit of a fade to black. Live type enabled us to create our logos, which became easy after an initial practice individually, and after effects allowed us to edit more precisely. We used the apple macs for basically everything, from research and planning to the construction of our video. All of the programs we needed to create the video were installed on the macs and all of the websites we needed to plan and research for our media product were accessible via the macs. We used the Sony SDR SR8 camera to film our opening and we learnt how to use this by conducting test runs of shots we thought would be difficult, this not only helped us better our shots but taught us about the cameras we were using before the real thing. During our filming we also used a microphone to record sound such as speech, unfortunately our first run when we used the microphone at our shoot didn’t sync, so we
