How did you use media technologies in

the construction and research, planning and

evaluation stages?

Page 2: Evaluation Question 4

Research & Planning Throughout the time that my group were researching and planning for our film we used a mixture of different media technologies. •Slide Share•YouTube•Prezi•Scribd•Wix

Page 3: Evaluation Question 4

Slide Share• I found slide share extremely helpful to share presentations to computers that might not be compatible with the software's used to create the initial presentation.

Page 4: Evaluation Question 4

YouTube• YouTube was a helpful way of sharing our videos

during the time we were practicing filming techniques that would better our film quality.

• The YouTube comment section was a good way to get feedback from peers on our content.

• YouTube is also extremely popular with sharing video content, therefore people looking at our videos found it easy to navigate.

Prezi• Prezi made is easier to make visually

stimulating presentations and presented work in more of an alternative way. • It was easy to work and gave high

standard results.

Scribd• We used this application to write up our

script. • It had all the aspects of a real script I

found it helpful effective as it expanded my knowledge on what is included in a script and how it is laid out.

Wix• Wix had many features that allowed me to share

different platforms of media on my account. • This made all my work easily accessible in one

place.

ConstructionTo create our film and our ancillary tasks we used a lot of different media platforms and equipment to give us the highest quality work. •Canon 550d & Tripod•Shot Gun Microphone•Final Cut Pro•Motion•Photoshop Elements

Canon 550d & TripodThe Canon 550d was an extremely practical piece of equipment to capture our film in the most professional looking outcome. It took some time to get used to the advanced technology but it was worth it for the quality. It also allowed us to control the lighting and focus, which some other cameras wouldn’t allow us to.The tripod was very high quality and allowed us to keep the camera steady and level. It also allowed us to experiment with different shot levels.

Shot Gun Microphone• This microphone helped us to get a better quality sound than

the camera alone allowed. Having the boom pole helped to direct the microphone to where we needed to hear the sound most prominent.

Final Cut ProFinal Cut Pro is the program we used to edit together our film. There was so many aspects we could apply to our film. It was complicated at first but we developed our skills over time and were able to use the application effectively.

MotionWe used motion to create our film company ident. It provided us with a professional looking outcome. The ident was intricate and smooth moving. This software was one of the hardest to get used to, but eventually we got the hang of it and were able to produce an effective ident.

Photoshop ElementsWe used Photoshop to create our ancillary tasks (film poster and film review) to get the best possible results. It had so many elements to apply to each piece of work, which allowed us to experiment with a lot of things to get the work exactly how we wanted.
