Firstly I did research on the consumption of my media project, anddiscovered that the fan base for both Emilie Autumn and zombies was

HUGE.

I also researched existing media products.

I then made the dress and other costumes.

I created a facebook events page inviting people to come and bezombies.

I came into college dressed up as a zombie in an attempt to obtain

more zombies, although it was not very successful.

Then on the 17th February I filmed my music video.

After that came the editing process, which took roughlythree weeks.

I then created outtakes and deleted scenes.

Lastly I created a menu and burned it to disk and

uploaded it to youtube:

The day did not go as planned, as I

obtained no zombies at all and had to

rely on my friends when the filming date

came.

Firstly, I made sketches of the picture I wanted for the CD cover.

Me and my step-dad then built the coffin, Alice would be laying in for the

picture.

I then took the picture.

I edited all the pictures and stills that would be included in my CD booklet inPhotoshop.

I created a background using lined paper, paint and pen ink and took a picture

of the background.

Using a site called dafont and a font called sinister sam I

created the story which is printed on the first five pages and thelyrics printed on the last five.

I then printed out everything I needed and put it together by

hand through the process cutting and sticking.

Scanned each page into the computer.

Lastly put it into booklet format in Publisher.

I had help with this project from my friend Patrick Sivila, as I am not verytechnical.

We created this website on a programme called Dream weaver

I picked the pictures I wanted to include in my website.

I also edited all of the pictures I used in my website.

I used a font called Beyond Wonderland from a site called dafont for the main

parts of text, i.e. page headings and links.

Yet they were imported as images as I had edited

them in Photoshop (inverted colours and coloured red)

and some computers may not be able to view the font. I then created an online forum.

Then the rest of the pages were created (fan club,

members, contact, shopping, picture reel).

Patrick then linked all the pages up, so that the

website was actually functional.

My target audience was

teenagers of an alternative style.

Thus I produced a

questionnaire to see if I had

reached my audience.

The questionnaire was a mix of

open and closed questions, thus a

mix of quantitative and qualitative

data.

I asked people who were agedbetween 14 and 21 and who were of

an alternative style as can be seen

above and on the right.

A few examples of the in depth answers (qualitative data):What do ou think of the messages and s mbolism within the iece

Black and white effect made death and zombies stand out.

Red = blood and death

Graveyard = death

The colour shows the alive girl whilst blood foreshadows death, shows she

was going to join the zombies/death!

I related with the zombies, they are beautiful!

I think its great, its like a new generation is taking hold in our world!

I found the messages within the video works along with the song

The images of gravestones and churchyards made the video fit the genre

I found the child zombies humorous because of the way they played, eating

and spitting out their toys!

Most of the piece was emotional, but the storyline needs improvement.

I found the part that shows the kid zombie was emotional and the feeling is

aggressive throughout the video.

Yes I had a smile on my face throughout, all the zombies were pretty hot!

I found the child zombies really freaky, but it was awesome!

What do ou think of the aesthetic (how it looks) qualities

Very gothic, extreme, relates very well to the title.

The use of colours was very creative and appropriate for the genre

Editing of the video was very well done and made it scarier, thus making the video

fit the genre

The black and white effect was very good, so was the make up and clothes

It looks very artistic and well presented. I particularly liked the horrific gore.

The make-up was very well done and looked even better in the rain!

I did reach my target audience, as overall the comments are

positive.Moreover some of the comments especially show that I have

captured the gothic/alternative audience through genre and other

aspects, comments such as:

I related with the zombies, they are beautiful!
