My Evaluation

MY INSPIRATIONOne of the many photographs that I really liked the work of was John Kimbier. The reason I liked his work was because everything was in perfect detail. I found him on national geographic. These are examples of his work.

National geographic really helped me through this project as I got so many fabulous ideas from Macro photographs.

I decided to do Macro, as some of the tester images I took were very successful. Also some of the pictures that I found on National Geographic where amazing and this also helped me to go with macro. I also like macro because the small things that are taken for granted in day to day life you can see on a grand scale. These are some of the images that court my eye on National Geographic.

Macro

For taking my images I used a cannon (600D)

I chose to use this camera because from the research I did the 600D was best for macro.

Equipment

To help me steady my hand when taking images I used a Tripod.

I had to use a SD card to be able to take my images and to also get them from the camera to the computer.

I used Photoshop to edit all of my images.

EDITS

These are just a few of the images that I have edited. In each of the different images

I have edited it in different ways. As you see in the top right hand corner I have

made the image black and white and put the colour back in to his eye. I have also

used the spot healing tool to get rid of any imperfections on his skin. The image on

the top left is my original. I didn’t want to tamper to much as it was a good image but

I wanted his eyes to stand out so I put a filter on it. Because he had really blue eyes I decided it would be a good idea to make

this the focus of my image. To do this I drained all the colour out of his face.

In my opinion I think that this image is the best out of all of my images. The reason for this is because it shows all the detail of rain drop and the stems.I also think that the effect I have put on the image makes it look like I have taken the image at dusk this also brings out the image.
