ESTRADA & PARTNERS FIGHTS AGAINST CHILDHOOD CANCER
Estrada & Partners every year collaborates with the Laboratory of Cancer Research and investigation of Sant Joan de Deu's Infant Hospital, which studies the causes of childhood cancer and the development of treatments.
The aim of this Research Organization, which receives the economic support, is the development of approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer in children and young people. It is the work of this institution that makes possible the application of the newest treatment protocols on patients, procedures that at the moment are being applied in world's best medical centres.
Since the existence of this Laboratory, different techniques of Cancer diagnosis have been practiced, and eventually applied to patients of Saint Joan de Deu's Hospital. These Techniques could have been followed by other medical centres if there were enough clinical investigators.
Recent advances have been recognized by international publications, specialized in childhood cancer, therefore, these new treatment protocols, achieved in the centre, are actually being used successfully.
The Laboratory was founded thanks to the financial support of Hospital de Sant Joan de Deu and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, which is also the principal promoter of the project to improve cancer care and prevention.
This fundraising activity is carried out by the public and private companies’ donations. So in order to achieve a world-class outcomes in childhood cancer treatment and prevention, we all have to make a contribution, no matter how big or small our contribution is, every voice counts!.
