The offi cial partner country at hanseboot 2013 is Estonia. The sea partnership between Estonia and Germany goes back to the heydays of the medieval union in politics and trade – namely the Hanseatic League. Tallinn, which was called Reval at that time, was the most eastern bastion and trade location of the Hanseatic League. Salt from Novgorod or furs from Rus-sia started their journey to the trading ports in Northern and Western Europe from Tallinn.

Even today the harbours in Tallinn and Muuga are together the largest in the Baltic Sea – both for transporting goods and passengers, and the Estonian shipping company, Tallink, is the largest vessel enterprise in the Baltic Sea region – both with regard to transporting goods and passengers. Besides several transit harbours, Estonia has around 100 smaller harbours, of which approximately 25 are able to accommodate larger sailing yachts.Estonia’s approximately 4000 km coastline offers not only sail-ing trips but also endless opportunities for surfi ng, water jet-ting, kayak and canoe tours and diving. Die enge wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Verbindung von Estland und Deutschland geht auf die Glanzzeit der mittelalterlichen Politik- und Handelsunion Hanse zurück. Tallinn – damals Reval – war die östlichste Hafenstadt und Handelsstützpunkt der Vereini-gung. Von Tallinn aus nahmen Waren wie Honig und Leinen aus Nowgorod oder Pelze und Wachs aus Russland ihre Reise in die Handelshäfen von Nord- und Westeuropa auf.

Auch heute ist der Tallinner Hafen gemeinsam mit dem Hafen von Muuga der größte der Ostsee – sowohl, was den Waren-verkehr als auch Passagiertransport anbelangt. Die estnische Reederei Tallink ist wiederum das größte Schiffsunternehmen der Ostsee-Region und in beiden Bereichen (Personenschifffahrt, Frachttransport) tätig. Neben etlichen Transithäfen verfügt Est-land über gut 100 Kleinhäfen und Anlegeplätze. Kasse Paadid is a small craft builder in Saaremaa. Kasse boats (Freed 430) have been built in Saikla, close to Orissaare since 1993.

We have built a total of more than 2,500 boats – more than any other rowboat builder in Estonia.

Kasse Paadid has never aimed at providing a wide selection of models. Ever since production was launched, the company has focused on the use of high-quality materials. Polyester resin and paint from the Reichold plant in Norway have been used, along with Ahlstorm glass fi bre tissue, to produce a high-quality result.

Our boats are exported to Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany ja Åland Islands. Kasse Paadid is a founding member of the Association of Estonian Boatyards.

KASSEPAADID

Kasse Paadid ist ein Kleinunternehmen, das auf der Insel Saaremaa Ruderboote herstellt. Seit 1993 werden die Boote von der Marke Kasse in der Ortschaft Saikla in der Nähe von Orissaare hergestellt.

Insgesamt wurden schon über 2500 Boote gebaut – eine ver-gleichbare Anzahl kann kein anderer estnischer Bootshersteller vorweisen.

Das Bestreben der Kasse Paadid ist nicht bloß auf eine möglichst breite Modellauswahl ausgelegt. Vielmehr wurde seit dem Produktionsbeginn ein besonderes Augenmerk auf die Verwendung der hochwertigen Materialien gelegt. Bei der Herstellung der Boote werden in Norwegen produzierte Polyesterharze und Lacke vom Harz-Hersteller Reichhold und Glasfasergewebe von Ahlstrom verwendet, die für qualitativ hochwertige Endprodukte ausschlaggebend sind.

Von uns hergestellte Boote fi nden Sie vor allem in Finnland, Schweden, Norwegen und Deutschland vor. Kasse Paadid gehört zu den Gründungsmitgliedern des Verbandes der Estni-schen leinschiffbauer.

Lindvart’s tradition of boatbuilding rests on skills and secrets passed on from generation to generation. Being inhabitants of Saaremaa, the founders of Lindvart grew together with boats from an early age. Making toy ships in childhood led to a more serious apprenticeship with a Saaremaa boat craftsman. Boatbuilding work in Finland in the early 1980s deepened their knowledge of the science of materials and engineering technologies. Upon returning to their home island with their newly acquired knowledge and experience, it seemed the time was ripe to set up one’s own boat building workshop – so Lindvart was born.

The service design consultancy Brand Manual has, by way of example, created an integrated marina concept for Port Noblessner. For this, an extensive study was carried out to un-derstand the needs and expectations of yachters. All the way from planning the trip, to winter storage of the yacht. The objective of the project was to design and prototype the ideal marina, on the basis of one small-craft harbour located in Estonia. The concept is all-ecompassing, so that other small-craft harbours can use it as a foundation, and adapt it accord-ing to their own needs, when developing their marina.Every small-craft harbour visitor appreciates it, when the ma-rina has thought about everything, and the visit is remembered only as a positive experience. As a result, the visitor is also the best advertising agent for the harbour, sharing positive personal experience with his or her peers. What’s better thana friendly recommendation?

Das clevere Design ermöglicht es, dass man auch im Garten oder auf der Terrasse kochen kann – nämlich gibt es da ein Waschbecken, damit man die Gemüse waschen kann, und ein Grill, damit man das Steak grillen kann.
