ERROR STATE CODE BEEP DESCRIPTIONPaper pickup error E 1 2 x Occurs when the paper cannot be fed properly.Paper jam error E 2 2 x Occurs when the paper sensor detects a paper longer than 20 inches.

BJ cartridge installation error E 6 2 x Occurs when the printer does not detect the BJ cartridge. (A bad printhead is possible.)

BJ cartridge mis-match error E 8 2 x Occurs when a color BJ cartridge is installed or when the black BJ cartridge is not recognized. Install or replace a BC-10.

Waste ink absorber warning C 1 2 x Occurs when the remaining capacity of the absorber is 1%. Press ON LINE to resume. F14 error may occur soon.

Low battery warning C 5 2 x Occurs when the input voltage is 11.1 to 11.8 VDC. Normal voltage is 13VDC +2.5VDC -1.5VDC.

Cartridge leave warning C 6 / Bk Blinks 2 x Occurs when the cartridge is in the replacement mode for 5 minutes or longer.

Ink low warning Bk Blinks 2 x

Displayed when ink low warning function is enabled. Occurs when the calculated ink consumption exceeds the maximum value in EEPROM. The cartridge may be out of ink. Replace the ink cartridge and reset the ink low warning by pressing the MENU button once.

Low battery error (w/battery) F c 5 seconds Occurs when battery power is low.

ROM error F 1A 5 seconds Occurs when the result of the ROM check during the initializing operation fails.RAM error F 1b 5 seconds Occurs when the result of the RAM check during the initializing operation fails.EEPROM error F 1C 5 seconds Occurs when data cannot be written into the EEPROM.

Home position sensor error F 1 5 seconds Occurs when the home position cannot be detected.

Print position correction error F 3 5 seconds Occurs when the print position correction cannot be detected. (Irregularity in the carriage movement.)

Low battery error (w/AC adapter) F c 5 seconds Occurs when the input voltage is incorrect. (The power adapter or battery may be bad.)

Internal temperature sensor error F 11 5 seconds Occurs when the temperature sensor's reading on the logic board is abnormal. (A bad

printhead is possible.)

Abnormal temperature rise F 12 5 seconds Occurs when the temperature of the diode sensor in the BJ cartridge head exceeds the prescribed level. (A bad printhead is possible.)

No head installation error F 13 5 seconds Occurs when the printer does not detect the cartridge in a position other than BJ cartridge removal position. (A bad printhead is possible.)

Waste ink full error F 14 5 secondsOccurs when the "total waste ink amount" recorded by the EEPROM exceeds the prescribed limit. Waste ink absorber pad may need to be replaced and the counter needs to be reset.
