Defrosting The defrosting system incorporates a fully automatic
energy efcient derosting system. The defrost water collects in the evaporating pan, where
it is evaporated by the heat o the compressor. The evaporating pan does not require cleaning or
maintenance.

1 To ensure adequate ventilation for your refrigerator, itis recommended to provide space o 60mm on bothsides and at the back, and space o 90mm above thererigerator. Insucient spacing will decrease coolingeciency, increase energy consumption and may reduce
the lie o the unit (see page 3).
2 Using the two front adjustable feet, ensure that thererigerator is positioned rmly and level on the foor.
3 Using the adjustable feet, raise the front of the unit so it
leans back slightly, this will assist in door closing. Makenal adjustments to ensure that the doors are correctlyaligned.
4 Remove the 4 screws rom the bottom o the rerigeratorand use these to t the kickplate (supplied inside thererigerator compartment).
5 Connect the power plug to a 240 volt 10 amp powerpoint.
NOTES:

Carry the rerigerator by holding the holding deviceslocated on the rear and bottom.
Beore using your rerigerator Clean the inside parts with a cloth soaked in warm

The rerigerator controls its temperature automatically.However, if needed, adjust the temperature as follows.

Timer
The timer can be set or up to 99 minutes and 30 seconds,in intervals o 30 seconds.
1 Press the Function select button and select theTimer icon. The previous timer entry is displayed.
2 Press the / button to select the time. ( to increase,to decrease). Hold the button down to set the timer
more quickly.
3 Press the button to conrm.The timer will start. The countdown will begin.When the set time is reached, the end tone will sound(or about 30 seconds).

Door alarm

Storing ood
Rerigeration reduces the rate o ood spoilage. To maximisethe shel lie o perishable ood products, ensure that thefood is of the freshest possible quality. The following is ageneral guide to help promote longer ood storage.
Fruit and vegetablesTo minimise moisture loss, ruit and vegetables should beloosely enclosed in a plastic material (e.g. wrap, bags) andplaced in the Vegetable crisper or the Chilled compartment.Those fruits and vegetables with thick skins do not requirewrapping.
Dairyproductsandeggs Most dairy products have a use by date on the
outer packaging which indicates the recommended
temperature and expected lie o the product. Eggs should be stored in the egg tray.
Meat, fsh and poultry Place on a plate or dish and cover with paper or plastic
wrap. For larger cuts of meat, sh or poultry, place to the rear
o the shelves.
Ensure all cooked food is wrapped securely or placed inan airtight container.
NOTES:
Evenlyplacethefoodontheshelvestoallowthecoolingairtocirculateefciently.
Hotfoodsshouldbecooledbeforestoring.Storinghotfoodsincreasesthetemperatureintheunitandincreasestheriskoffoodspoilage.
Donotblocktheoutletandinletofthecoolaircirculatingcircuitwithfoodsorcontainers;otherwisethefoodswillnotbeevenlycooledthroughouttherefrigerator.
Donotplacefooddirectlyinfrontofcoldairoutlet.Thismayleadtothefoodfreezing.
Forbestfreezing Food should be fresh. Freeze small quantities of food at a time to freeze them
quickly. Food should be properly stored in containers or freezerbags. Air should be removed i possible and seal tightly.
Evenly place the food in the freezer. Label bags or containers to keep an inventory of frozen
ood.
Some household cleaning chemicals can cause cracks,splits or discolouration on the inside surace o thererigerator and door liner. Only use diluted dishwashingliquid and ensure that all plastic is wiped with resh waterater cleaning.
Alkaline detergents may aect the aluminium parts o thedoor handle, causing it to tarnish.
1 Remove the shelves and bins rom the cabinet and door.Wash them in warm soapy water; rinse in clean water
and dry.2 Clean the inside with a cloth soaked in warm soapy
water. Then use cold water to wipe o the soapy water.3 Wipe the exterior with a sot cloth each time it is soiled.4 Clean the magnetic door seal with a toothbrush and
warm soapy water.5 Wipe the control panel with a dry cloth.
Notes: Donotusehotwater,householdcleaningpowders,
creamsorspray-oncleaningproductsoranyothercleaningproductssuchasmineralturpentine,methylatedspirits,thinners,petroletc.Thesemay
damageyourrefrigeratorandmayvoidanywarranty. Ifundiluteddetergentisusedorsoapywaterisnotwipedoffthoroughly,crackingofplasticpartscanresult.

I you think something may be wrong with your rerigerator,you can carry out some easy checks beore calling orservice. You may locate the problem, sparing yoursel rominconvenience and saving time and money.

The glass shelves weigh approximately 3kg each. Holdfrmly when removing rom the cabinet or when carrying.

When your applianceis not operating
Check that the power cord is pluggedinto the power outlet properly and that theoutlet is switched ON.
Try running another appliance from the poweroutlet. I no power is coming rom the outletyou may have blown a use or tripped a circuit
o your household power supply. Try adjusting the temperature control to a
slightly colder position.
It is normal for the freezer fan NOT tooperate during the automatic derost cycle,or or a short time ater the rerigerator isswitched on.
When there isrerigerator noise
Modern rerigerators/reezers withincreased storage capacity use high speedcompressors. These can provide a seeminglyhigh level of sound which is quite normal.Normal operational sounds include:
Occasional gurgling, similar to water boiling.
Air ow noise (air circulates because of asmall an).
A popping noise heard during automaticderost.
A clicking noise heard just beforethe compressor starts (this is merelythe automatic switching action othe temperature control, turning thecompressor on or o).
Other strange sounds may mean thatyou need to check and take action. Forexample, noises may mean that:
The cabinet is not level.
The oor is uneven or weak.
Bottles are badly placed and rattling.
There are vibrations from an object on top ofor behind or beside the rerigerator.
The back of the refrigerator cabinet istouching the wall.
Remember it is quite normal for noise toseem louder just after the refrigerator startsoperating.
I there are odoursinside the rerigerator
The interior may need cleaning.
Some foods produce odours.
Some containers and wrapping can causeodours.
Ask yourself if the odour started about thesame time you started storing somethingunusual.
When the motorseems to run morethan expected
Your new rerigerator provides you with largecapacities in both the rerigerator section andthe separate reezer. It is normal or the motorto operate frequently. However, to keepoperation to a minimum, check the ollowing:
Are doors kept open too long or too often?
Are controls set too cold? See Controllingtemperature.
Have large amounts of warm food justrecently been stored? Summer, festiveseasons and holidays usually mean a lotmore work or your rerigerator.
If the day is hot or the room is very warm,the rerigerator will need to run more thannormal.
The refrigerator will run more that normaljust after you install it or when it has beenturned o or a long time.
I the temperature inthe rerigerator is toowarm
Check that the refrigerator has enoughclearance at the sides, back and top.Reer to the installation Instructions at theront o this booklet.
Refer to Controlling temperature.
You may have kept the door open toolong or too frequently.
Food containers or packaging may beholding a door open.
I the temperature inthe rerigerator is toocold
Refer to Controlling temperature.
Increase the temperature to avoid highenergy consumption.
I heavy rostingoccurs in the reezer
Make sure you ully close the reezer and ridgedoors. I the doors are let partly open a heavyrost will coat the inside o the reezer. I a rostdevelops, remove it. Take care to properlyclose the doors and the rost will not reoccur.
I water droplets ormon the aluminiumpanel
This is normal as the panel is cooled romthe rear, thereore indirectly cooling thererigerator compartment. It is normal orwater droplets to orm on this panel underhumid weather conditions.
I you still require serviceI you have a problem, and the problem persists ater youhave made the checks mentioned above, contact yournearest Electrolux approved Service Centre or the dealeryou bought the refrigerator from. Be ready to quote themodel number, which is stated on the label inside thererigerator compartment.
I a rerigerator lamp blowsThe lamp should only be replaced by a service centreapproved by Electrolux.
Switching o your rerigeratorI the rerigerator needs to be switched o or an extendedperiod, the ollowing steps should be taken to reduce thesymptoms o mould:
1 Remove all ood.2 Remove the power plug rom the power point.3 Clean and dry the interior thoroughly.4 Ensure that all the doors are wedged open slightly or air
circulation.

8 removing door handles electrolux our-door rerigerator
I you need to remove the handles rom your door, pleaseollow the instructions below.
1 Use a 2.5mm allen key to remove the grub screw romthe underside o the handle pedestals.
2 When the grub screws have been removed rom botho the pedestals, the handle can be pulled away rom
the pedestals.
3 The pedestals can be removed rom the door (inecessary). Remove the phillips head screw and pull themounting block away rom the door.
To re-attach the handles, ollow the instructions above inreverse.

(a) Electrolux means Electrolux Home Products Pty Ltd ABN 51 004 762 341in respect of Appliances purchased in Australia and Electrolux (NZ) Limitedin respect o Appliances purchased in New Zealand;
(b) Appliance means any Electrolux product purchased by you accompaniedby this document;
(c) Warranty Period means(i) where you use the Appliance or personal, domestic or household
purposes in Australia the period o 24 months and in New Zealand theperiod o 24 months;
(ii) where you use the Appliance or commercial purposes, in Australiathe period o 3 months and in New Zealand the period o 3 months,(i the period stated is 0 months you are not covered by this productwarranty) ollowing the date o original purchase o the Appliance;
(d) you means the purchaser o the Appliance not having purchased theappliance or re-sale, and your has a corresponding meaning.
2. This warranty only applies to Appliances purchased and used in Australia orNew Zealand and is in addition to (and does not exclude, restrict, or modiy in
any way) any non-excludable statutory warranties in Australia or New Zealand.3. Electrolux warrants that, when dispatched rom an Electrolux warehouse,
the Appliance is ree rom deects in materials and workmanship or theWarranty Period.

During the Warranty Period Electrolux or its Authorised Service Centre will,at no extra charge i your appliance is readily accessible without specialequipment, and subject to these terms and conditions, repair or replaceany parts which it considers to be deective. You agree that any replacedAppliances or parts become the property o Electrolux. This warranty does notapply to light globes, batteries, flters or similar perishable parts.
5. Parts and Appliances not supplied by Electrolux are not covered by thiswarranty.
6. Where you are within an Electrolux service area, this warranty covers thecost o transport o the Appliance to and rom Authorised Service Centres oElectrolux and travelling costs or representatives o the Authorised ServiceCentre to and rom your home or business. I you are outside an Electroluxservice area, you will bear these costs. 7. Proof of purchase is required before you can make a claim under this warranty.8. You may not make a claim under this warranty unless the deect claimed is
due to aulty or deective parts or workmanship. Electrolux is not liable in thefollowing situations (which are not exhaustive):(a) The Appliance is damaged by:
(i) accident(ii) misuse or abuse, including ailure to properly maintain or service(iii) normal wear and tear(iv) power surges, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply(v) incomplete or improper installation(vi) incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation(vii) insect or vermin inestation.
(b) The Appliance is modifed without authority rom Electrolux in writing.(c) The Appliances serial number or warranty seal has been removed
or deaced.(d) The Appliance was serviced or repaired by anyone other than Electrolux or
its Authorised Service Centres.9. This warranty, the contract to which it relates and the relationship between
you and Electrolux are governed by the law applicable in the Australian Statewhere the Appliance was purchased or the law applicable in New Zealandi the Appliance was purchased in New Zealand. Limitation of Liability
10. To the extent permitted by law:(a) Electrolux excludes all warranties other than as contained in this document;(b) Electrolux shall not be liable or any loss or damage whether direct or
indirect or consequential arising rom your purchase, use or non-use othe Appliance.
11. Provisions of the Trade Practices Act and State consumer legislation in
Australia, and the Consumer Guarantees Act, the Sale o Goods Act and theFair Trading Act in New Zealand, imply warranties or conditions, or imposeobligations, upon Electrolux which cannot be excluded, restricted or modifed.To the extent permitted by law, the liability o Electrolux (i any) arising out oor in relation to the Appliance or any services supplied by Electrolux shall belimited (where it is fair and reasonable to do so),:(a) in the case o Appliances, at its option, to the replacement or repair o
the Appliances or the supply o equivalent products or the payment othe cost o replacing the Appliances or having the Appliances repairedor of acquiring equivalent Appliances. Upon being replaced, parts andAppliances become the property o Electrolux; or
(b) in the case o services, at its option, to the supply o the services againor the payment o the cost o having the services re-supplied; and in thecase o Appliances or services supplied in New Zealand, loss or damagewhether direct or indirect or consequential that is reasonably oreseeable.

You acknowledge that in the event that you make a warranty claim it will benecessary or Electrolux and its Authorised Service Centres to exchangeinormation in relation to you to enable Electrolux to meet its obligations under thiswarranty.
EXTENDED WARRANTIES AND INDEMNITY
Sealed Refrigeration System WarrantyFor a urther period o three years ollowing the expiry o the Warranty period,Electrolux or its agent will supply replacements or, or at the sole option oElectrolux, repair, all parts it nds defective in the Sealed Refrigeration Systemwhich comprises: compressor, condenser, evaporator, dryer and tubing.During this three year period you will pay or the costs o labour (including anycall out or service ees), and reight i necessary in replacing deective parts inthe Sealed Refrigeration System. You will pay for the costs of transport of theAppliance i urther service is required and the costs o parts or repairs to partsother than those included in the Sealed Refrigeration System
Frozen Food indemnity
Subject to the ollowing exclusions, Electrolux will indemniy you or a periodo 24 months rom the date o purchase o the Appliance against any loss ordamage to frozen foodstuffs due to a Sealed Refrigeration System breakdown.
This indemnity will be limited to:(a) in the case of freezers with a capacity of less than 400 litres AU$150(b) in the case of freezers with a capacity of 400 litres or more AU$300
This indemnity does not cover loss or damage to rozen oodstus occasionedby:
(a) ailure to plug in the reezer to a properly connected power supply orailure to switch on the power point
(b) accidental removal o the plug rom the power point or switching o thepower supply;
(c) ailure to keep the door or lid o the reezer closed(d) the introduction o abnormal heat loads to the reezer;(e) ailure to observe the operating and installation instructions supplied
with the reezer; and() ailure to derost the reezer at recommended intervals on chest reezers
or non rost ree models.
