Hypothalamus and Pituitary Gland• The hypothalamus is in control of the pituitary

gland. it controls many of the endocrine functions. It release hormones that are important to the female menstrual cycle, pregnancy, birth, and lactation.

• In the endocrine system, the pancrea’s function is to release insulin and glucagon to help regulate your bodies blood sugar, even though the pancreas has many other functions not involving the endocrine system.

• This gland sits on the kidney. Parts of the adrenal gland releases adrenaline, which has many responses to fright, anger, caffeine, or low blood sugar.

• The parathyroid glands are located by the thyroid glands. The parathyroid glands control how much calcium is in our bones. Even though these glands are located on the thyroid glands sometimes it has nothing to do with what the thyroid gland does.
