QUALITY EDUCATION AT AN INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), established in 1979, is an international state university oering internationally recognized English medium undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

EMU is rightfully very proud of her many years of service as the agship of higher education in the country and wider region. With world standard academic programs, highly qualied and dynamic academic sta, outstanding infrastructure, and close links with society, EMU is dedicated to creating an environment where the musts are: enhanced instructor – student communication, strong university-parent-student relations, strong university-employer collaboration, and international accreditations and recognition.

EMU is a full member of the European University Association (EUA), International Association of Universities (IAU), Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), Community of Mediterranean Universities (CMU), United Nations Educational Scientic and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and many other international organizations.

Its academic programs have been internationally accredited by such organizations as ABET (Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology), TEDQUAL (Teaching Education Quality in Tourism), and ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics).

ADMISSION Applications to undergraduate and graduate programs are accepted twice a year for Fall and Spring semester.

Undergraduate Programs: A student who has Higher Secondary School Certicate or equivalent is eligible to apply.

Graduate Programs: Prospective candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree to be eligible to apply to a Master’s Program or hold a Master’s Degree to apply to a Doctoral (Ph.D) program. Specic requirements vary from department to department, and may include written exams and/or interviews.

English Prociency: Those students who are admitted to the university but lack the required prociency level in English are required to pursue an intensive English program oered by the School of Foreign Languages.

TUITION AND FEESEMU provides very aordable tuition fees, ranging between approximately 6500 to 8500 USD per academic year.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND SUPPORTInternational Student Scholarship System: All international undergraduate and postgraduate students registering to the Eastern Mediterranean University can apply for merit-based tuition scholarships of 25%, 50% and 100%, and many students at EMU benet from this generous scheme.

EMU Sports Grant: EMU oers sports grants for exceptional performance in individual or team sports. The grant covers full or partial reduction from the tuition fee and/or accommodation fee of EMU dormitories. Vacancies for these positions are usually announced at the beginning of each semester. The monthly stipend is based on hourly rates.
