The "Rosetta™" family of communications products developed by General Devices help to solve the dilemma of EMS being locked into imperfect communications mediums, be it cellular, UHF/VHF/800 Radio or landline telephone. With Rosetta™ you can utilize the best communications means available for each situation. When the need is critical, count on ROSETTA™ to get the information through!

Definition:

rosetta\ro-,zet-e-\n:

1) A stone that deciphered ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. 2) A unique device that translates medical information from one communications medium to another (as in translating from digital cellular to UHF radio or analog cellular).

Rosetta-Lt Communications What Does NOT Work?

Trunked radio systems with digital only voice

Some newer trunk systems are set up for digital only (even though they are likely capable of both analog & digital voice). Rosetta can not transmit on these systems. It does however work on trunk radio with analog voice channels/talk groups.

Digital Cellular Limitations

Rosetta works well over analog cellular but that coverage is on the way out. Rosetta does transmit the waveform portion of the report well over iDEN (Nextel) & GSM cellular (Cingular, etc) Reception of the text info & interpretations is not guaranteed!

Rosetta does NOT work on CDMA cellular systems (Verizon).

Use of the Rosetta-Cell headset jack cable is recommended.
