Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard and lovely gardens, Emeritus at Manor House is centrally located in an urban area of Douglas County with easy access to Interstate 5, convenient shopping and local attractions. Our community has a variety of recreational opportunities in the numerous parks and lakes nearby as well as just an hour’s drive to either the Oregon coast, Eugene or Diamond Lake. Our residents enjoy regularly scheduled activities like outings for coffee, pizza and the Wildlife Safari along with our annual trip to the Umpqua Festival of Lights. Emeritus at Manor House is also close to several medical facilities, including Mercy Hospital and a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.

Joining Their Journey® Memories made for memories lost

Our community has become well known in the area for our innovative approach to caring for this special group of seniors – an approach we call Join Their Journey®. The premise of Join Their Journey® is simple. We believe that seniors affected by Alzheimer’s or other memory disorders still have so much to contribute to life. So our goal is to create a nurturing environment and provide ongoing op-portunities every day that allow them to live purposeful, successful lives despite their disease.

Toward this end, we create specially designed memory care neighborhoods that provide a personalized, familiar and secure setting tailored to each resident’s unique needs. Within this environment, our staff joins residents in their moment, rather than trying to bring them into our reality. Through this approach, we recognize individuality, encour-age choices and help residents maintain their dignity. These are some components of Join Their Journey®.
