Copyright V!VA Retirement Communities Corporation 2018 December 2018 Your V!VA Community Newsletter On November 9th, our Community honoured the courage and devotion of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, to give thanks to veterans, and those who continue to serve our country today. A special ceremony was held in the V!VAplex. It was a special time of significant meaning for our Community as we sang together, remembered, reflected, and learned the importance of living with remembrance every day. We would not have the freedom we know in Canada today if it wasn’t for the brave men and women who have fought for us; several of whom we are honoured to know at V!VA Mississauga. Once more, on behalf of V!VA Mississauga, thank you for your service and sacrifice. V!VA Mississauga Remembers Remembrance Day ceremony. Standing with the wreath. “Mum” is the Word! The theme of this year’s show, “Toy Land”, brought back memories and family traditions as toys from all decades were displayed throughout the greenhouse. Elora Gorge-ous View for Lunch Community Members enjoyed a scenic trip to Elora, known for its 19th century architecture and the Elora Gorge. Community Members enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Elora Mill restaurant, highlighted by the best view of the Gorge. Suffleboard Mania! Shuffleboard is back, and shufflier than ever! In October, we kicked off our Shuffleboard Round Robin Tournament. Taking place over six weeks, teams of Community Members faced each other in friendly competition for the title of Shuffleboard Champion.
