Why Ellis Whittam?We offer unlimited support for a fixed fee. You can call on us as often as you like. There is no clock watching, no charging by the hour and no

small print.

We are proactive. Our services are not based around simply reviewing,

monitoring and telling you what needs to be done - we actually help

you to implement changes and improvements within your workplace.

Like traditional law firms and consultancies, we employ only highly qualified people. The vast majority of our experienced Employment Law Advisers have qualified as solicitors and now specialise only in employment law. Likewise, our Health & Safety Consultants are all professionally qualified with experience across a wide range of sectors.

We are not a call centre offering cautious advice. Your named

Employment Law Adviser and Health & Safety Consultant will build lasting relationships with you by understanding your objectives and

• We handle all your employment law challenges including

disciplinaries, grievances, zero hours contracts, dismissals,

attendance, performance, maternity, TUPE, redundancy,

agency workers and much more.

• We draft bespoke letters and documents on your behalf.

• Our Legal Expenses Insurance provides complete protection in the event of an Employment Tribunal. We cover all your defence

costs and any settlement costs or compensation awards.

• The ‘My EW’ online system gives you access to

a suite of employment law and HR materials as

well as your handbooks, contracts and copies of

correspondence between Ellis Whittam and your

organisation. You can choose to record telephone

calls, which can also be stored online.

• We provide regular bulletins, updates and online

Our Occupational Health Services include medical

screening, physiotherapy, managing stress and wellbeing.

Our Employment Law & HR Training draws on case studies

We can deliver specially devised courses for you on topics such

• Your named, highly qualified Health & Safety Consultant will act as your legally required Competent Person.

• We conduct your General Risk Assessment on-site at your premises.

• We develop and help you implement your Prioritised Safety Action Plan, Health & Safety Policy and Employee Health & Safety Handbook, tailored to your precise needs.

• We provide you with secure access to ‘My EW’, a

comprehensive online resource where you can access all your

documents and a library of informative and practical guides.

• We guarantee a minimum number of visits to your

premises, not merely to inspect but to help you implement

positive change.

• Emergency assistance is provided in the case of, for

example, Health and Safety Executive (HSE) visits and accident investigations.

• In the event of a serious accident, we investigate, liaise with

the authorities and defend you against any prosecutions.

• We provide Legal Expenses Insurance that covers your legal costs in case of prosecution and also pays any Fee

For Intervention (FFI) charges you may incur from the HSE.

• We keep you up to date with changes to legislation and

best practice through regular bulletins, online materials and

calls from your Client Manager.

Our Health & Safety e-learning delivers your essential training via the internet using videos and interactive testing. This innovative approach

can save up to 80% compared with the costs of traditional classroom

based learning.

Training is undertaken at any time and at any location where internet

access is available. You no longer need to take whole teams away

from the work place when training is required.

We offer courses in more than forty topics including Lone Working, Stress, Driving Safety, Display Screen Equipment, Fire Safety, Food Hygiene, Slips Trips & Falls and Manual Handling.

Most courses are accredited by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA).

There are no set up or ongoing costs.
