We are Safe We are Respectful We are Focused ELERMORE ENDEAVOUR Term 1 Week 4 22 nd February 2019 Dear Parents and Carers, Like me, you may have noticed that we have recently had a lot of visits from our local council parking inspectors on Jubilee Rd. It is timely that I remind you that the Kiss and Ride zone on Jubilee Road is a 2 minute only parking area. For the safety of our students and families crossing Jubilee Rd, please do not queue across the bus zone or the crossing zone when waiting to access the Kiss and Ride zone. In an effort to move the line along as quickly as possible, our duty teachers will ask drivers to move out of the Kiss and Ride zone if they have been waiting for longer than 2 minutes. Your cooperation in following instructions from staff is grately appreciated. Please remember that costly fines do apply if you do not obey the parkig signs. More importantly, please remember that the safety of our students and visitors is our priority. World Thinking Day Today, three of our Girl Guides came to school in their Guides uniforms to celebrate World Thinking Day. This is an initiative run by the Guides to encourage us to think about those in our community that need our assistance. Congratulations to Isobel, Madison and Amy for spreading the message about World Thinking Day. Library Matters
Home borrowing starts in week 5 for K-2 students who have returned their permission notes.
Students in years 3-6 will be sent home a permission note once the K-2 program is running smoothly.
Many thanks to our wonderful parent volunteers who have offered their time to help run this
program.
An initial roster has been sent home via the students.
Please remember that all volunteers who come into the school must have completed all the
necessary requirements in keeping with the department regulations.
All home reading volunteers are invited to join me in the library for a home borrowing meet and
orientation session.
This is intended to explain the program in detail, avoid common mistakes and meet each other.
On Wednesday 27 February at 2.30pm, in the library.
