Electronegativity

Electronegativity is a measure of the tendency of an atom to attract a bonding pair of electrons.

The Pauling scale is the most commonly used

Electronegativity

Fluorine has the highest electronegativity of 3.98 Caesium has the lowest electronegativity of 0.8 Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon have zero

electronegativity. The trend electronegativity is smooth because it has an over all

consistency.
