Medical Research/ Research Fellowship

For physicians who want to focus on medical research and papers to be published and not clinical work, ECFMG certification is not required since there is no patient contact.

Foreign medical graduates may also apply for graduate degree programs in fields such as: Public Health, and medical sciences like physiology and anatomy.

If no contact with patients is involved, ECFMG certification is not required but the GRE maybe required for a Master's and Ph.D. degree.

Observership Program Hands-off experience to assist IMGs who

wish to observe clinical practice in a U.S. setting.

Usually consists of attending morning rounds, seminars, student lectures and attending case presentations.
