Educational objectives To promote international understanding and a respect for a variety of cultures
To clarify and deepen our understanding of the American identity and its values and beliefs through intercultural experience
To expand our knowledge about culture and history and the basis for different values and beliefs
To develop the interpersonal skills necessary to navigate a new environment with confidence, maturity and flexibility
Possible Countries for Service Learning Trip:
By American standards, both countries are rather poor financially, making them excellent candidates for an indispensable and an eye-opening experience. Both students and community members would benefit greatly from a trip to these locations.

Safety & Rules• 6-to-1 student to NL chaperone ratio • On-site EF chaperones • What are the behavioral expectations? The rules and guidelines are implemented to ensure a united, safe and successful group travel experience. ALL trip participants, regardless of age, are expected to maintain high standards of personal behavior. While the majority of activities are structured and supervised, students also have “free time” which does not involve constant supervision/surveillance. Group members must be able to assume responsibility for their actions and decisions. Students who are likely to act irresponsibly should not apply.• “Other” questions? There is no question. Or exceptions. The rule is clear: no drugs, alcohol or tobacco products. If you are not sure you can live by this rule for the duration of the program, do not come on the trip. They have sent students home for this reason, and we are firm on this subject.
• If ANY traveler violates the rules, we have the right to send them home from tour at their expense.
