Education & Training Assets Inventory Alignment Project

• As a result of the Regional Labor Market Study, we are implementing an Education & Training Assets Inventory & Alignment Project.

• The project will result in a web-based search engine tool that will allow the public better access to:

• Educational Pathways (K-16)• Program alignment within and between E & T institutions• Information about existing articulation & cooperative agreements

between institutions

• The project will encourage institutions to pursue curriculum enhancements, resulting in better prepared graduates, based on direct input from business & industry.

Education & Training AssetsInventory & Alignment ProjectWDG Regional Labor Market Study Recommendation

“Much of the area resident’s desired training could be achieved through seamless cooperative agreements among the area's technology centers, community colleges and universities offering two-year Associates Degree Programs, along with stand-alone programs offered via the technology centers (certificate and non-certificate) and through adult continuing education (credit and non-credit).”

“These programs must be developed through advisory committees consisting of the area's leading employers.”
