Editing Profiles in our class blog – COMM5704 Our first assignment in this unit involves editing our profile (adding image and writing a few words about ourselves) in our class blog. This task takes only a few simple steps. 1. Go to our class blog http://blogs.uwa.edu.au/comm5704. When you scroll down you will see Profiles section with your basic profile (your name and a generic Santa image) already set up for you. These profiles are generated in our WordPress blog’s Dashboard (back end) as Projects. 2. Log in. We need to log in to our blog next and edit our project (profile). By this time you should have received an email with a link which makes you an editor of our blog’s content (click it to accept the invitation and set up your password if you are new to UWA Blogs – no need to create a blog if asked. Existing UWA Blogs users will simply log in to the blog).

4.GotoProjects.OnthelefthandsidemenuhoveroverProjectsandselectAllProjectsnext.5.GotoEdityourproject.AfteryouclickAllProjectsinthepreviousstepyouwillbetransferredtoanewpagethat listsallprojects(students’profiles).YouneedtoscrolldowntofindyournameandthenhoveroverittillyouseetheEditsign,whichyouclicknext.
6.Editthecontentofyourprofile.Usethetexteditortoaddinformationaboutyourself.Youcanaddimages,videos,andusehyperlinksifyouwanttomakeitstandout.
7.Set featured image.Thisisyourprofilepicturethatwillappearinourclassblog(insteadofSanta).ClicktheSetfeaturedimagelinkontherighthandside.ThiswilltakeyoutotheimageuploadsidewhereyousimplydraganddropyourimageandclicktheSetFeaturedImagebuttoninthebottomrightcorner.8.ClickUpdate!Ifyoudon’twanttoloseallyourcontentyou’vejustcreated,makesureyouhittheUpdatebuttonontherighthandside.
