Fast paced.

Sections of our song where we wanted our song to be in time with the music, we chopped so that they would fit in the short space that we wanted them too and so they wouldn't’t slow the upbeat rhythm of our shots down. There was certain lyrics that were sang in a short quick way which fit the idea of having short images really well. Lyrics: Talking bout the lights, the dirt, the sh-t, that hurtsWe're not gonna turn aroundWe're doing this for good, for worseThe gift, the curse, we're not gonna back down

All I need in this life of sin is me and my girlfriendDown to ride till the happy end, is me and my girlfriendAll I need in this life of sin is me and my girlfriendDown to ride till the happy end, is me and my girlfriend

I wanna feel the sun, the waves, the wind in my faceThe speed, the chase, na na naI wanna feel the sun, the waves, just wanna cross the states, making up as we goThat's how's gon' be, young wild and freeNot gonna slow downUp to the max, until we crush, we're not gonna stop now

FiltersWe had the idea of adding a filter over the top of each image as to create a more professionalmusic video. However the filter we decided we liked was disapproved by audience feedback. On some shots it looked good and fit the shot It was placed on for example the Swaziland shots but on the shots from the festival it just ruined the atmosphere and the mood.

We then had the idea to only put filters on the Swaziland section of our video as to make itseem more cultured. This also made the footage of both the festival and Swaziland become more obvious that they are not just shot in locations around where I live. That they wereshot in actual foreign places or at real festivals because it made the two sections obviously different. We then decided to get rid of all filters because it began to make our music video look to complicated and we decided that a professional music video is not what we want toCreate anyway. There for we left our footage raw to create the idea of a home video, that the recording deviceHas just been paused and picked back up in a different area.

Overlapping imagesWe had a problem where I filmed a shot portrait instead of landscape, an example is shown on the right. We decided that leaving the sides black would be boring and would confuse the audience so we used one of our shots of a crowd and made it opaque so that it could be seen behind the portrait shot. We really liked this idea and to make it less like an accident we made more shots similar to thisby cropping the sides of them to focus on something unparticular. We also over lapped imagesWe had that wasn't a full and exciting shot. We added images over something moving fast paced over a shot of a slowed down image. This kept the flow of the song up whilst making ourselves a more interesting shot. This helped us greatly when we began to run out of suitable footage, as it helped to create a Shot that was similar but a bit different to the other footage we had used.
