RefWorksHow to import citations from the EBSCOHost database into your RefWorks account
NOTE: Accessing the NEW Display• Once you log into your account, in the top right corner is a link for the new RefWorks- RefWorks 2.0
• Click on it to start using the new display
• RefWorks remembers which version (Classic or 2.0) you selected and will load that verison in future logins
• To switch back to the Classic version, click on the RefWorks Classic link in the upper right corner
Exporting & Importing Citations from EBSCOHost• Perform your search in EBSCOHost
Exporting & Importing Citations from EBSCOHost• Find an article, and click on it’s title
Exporting & Importing Citations from EBSCOHost• If it takes you to a PDF file of the article, click on icon of a white sheet of paper and green arrow. This is the “Export” icon.
Exporting & Importing Citations from EBSCOHost• If a PDF does not open, then you should be looking at the article’s bibliographic information or its HTML full-text version.
• On the right side menu, you will see a series of icons.
• Click on the icon of a sheet of paper with a green arrow that reads “Export”
Exporting & Importing Citations from EBSCOHost• Select “Direct Export to RefWorks”
• Then click “Save”
Exporting & Importing Citations from EBSCOHost• Beware of your browser’s pop-up blocker. It may block your RefWorks confirmation screen and stop exporting your citation(s).
• Click on the yellow bar and choose to allow pop-ups from the database
• Click here for instructions on how to allow pop-ups in your browser from certain websites
How to Allow Pop-ups from RefWorks
Exporting & Importing Citations from EBSCOHost• If you have not logged into RefWorks, you will now be prompted to login in.
• If you are already signed in, then a screen appears to confirm your citation has been saved.
Or…
Exporting & Importing Citations from EBSCOHost• To look at the citation just imported, click View Last Imported
