It was a treat for me as the publisher to get to speak with Stephanie and have her in the magazine. Knowing this fun, sweet, and

outgoing girl and hearing her story made me so happy to see her find true love.

Friends for 3 years before they started dating, Stephanie and Brett tell their story of their engagement, wedding, and tips for other soon to be brides

On her 30th Birthday at a Cabin at Beavers Bend, Brett Dupre proposed to Stephanie Strand in front of a group of their closest friends. She knew she had finally met her Prince Charming.

Stephanie and Brett Dupre married July 14th, 2012 . They chose a destination wedding and honeymoon at Gulf Shores Alabama State Park right on the beach. They wanted an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family, which Stephanie says was her favorite part of all. It was very personal and from hair, makeup and photography their friends all played a role

in helping make their wedding day special. In fact one of their closest friends was even ordained and married them, making it that much more unique. Brett’s favorite moment was after all this time seeing her walk down the aisle and knowing that she was going to be his wife.

The funniest moment Stephanie said was while she was getting ready everyone convinced her that her dad and Brett were running late. They told her, that her dad who never had any tattoos was getting one at that very moment right before her wedding. Of course this wasn’t true and something they laugh about now.

When it came to wedding planning Brett had his personality in there as well which is a great tip for other couples. If you do everything else let there be one thing that’s about the groom. For Brett they chose Purple and Gold for their Wedding colors due to him being a diehard LSU fan.

For Stephanie since she wanted an intimate wedding and something that really was unique for her personality to shine through and stay on a budget. She really shopped around on and offline. Pinterest was a huge help in how-to and ideas for what she wanted as well. You can have a beautiful, unforgettable wedding even on a budget.

Her advice to brides to be:“No matter how big or small the wedding

worrying over every little detail is pointless

because at the end of the day you will still be

married to the love of your life. Also sit down

with your photographer prior to the wedding and

make a list of photos you really want for them

to take. She believes this is the most important

detail because it is the only thing years from now

you will have as memories from your wedding.

Keeping the ceremony true to you as a couple

Brett says was most important to him. Don’t get

lost in trying to make your wedding something

that is not you and your future spouse’s

personalities. You want to be able to look back

and see it was really all about both of you.”

What I loved about Salon deLe Soleil was after talking with the stylist I found out

they will help you by doing a color consultation first, if you have colored your hair in the

past and need corrections they specialize in this too. “People do not realize how damaging it is to their hair to try to do at home color

especially the wilder colors.” (Reds, purples, blues, etc.)

So it’s best to make sure and pay the extra money and have this done at a Salon.
