    「亞太經濟合作(APEC)電信暨資訊工作小組第 41 次會議」

    活動報導

    由國家通訊傳播委員會(NCC)、國內相關部會與本中心共同主辦的亞太經濟合作(APEC)電信暨資訊工作小組(Telecommunications and Information Working Group, TEL)第41 次會議於 5 月 6 日至 12 日假我國臺北國際會議中心舉行,此次 APEC TEL 41 會議有18 個經濟體共約 300 人與會,會議中除強化亞太地區資通訊經驗交流,更展現我國發展成果,提昇我國通訊傳播市場競爭力。

    針對 IPv4 位址日漸枯竭及全球各國積極投入寬頻網路建設等發展趨勢,APEC TEL 41 會議亦積極探討 IPv6 網路的發展,並研討光纖寬頻網路的推動策略。為向與會者分享我國發展 IPv6 的心得,本計畫協同主持人–國立臺灣師範大學資訊工程系葉耀明教授,於 TEL41 會議 IPv6 研討會中簡報「我國的 IPv6 成功經驗」(IPv6 Success Story, Chinese Taipei);同時,本計畫重要成員 - 銘傳大學電腦與通訊工程學系助理教授賴守全,也於會中分享我國校園網路應用 IPv6 的現狀(TANet IPv6 Development Status)。

    本計畫單位也於 5 月 6 日至 8 日期間,於 APEC TEL 41 會場安排 IPv6 特展(IPv6 Showcase),以展示我國推動 IPv6網路的成效。內容包括 IPv6智慧生活體驗(IPv6 Intelligent Life)、學術網路 IPv6 成果展示(IPv6 Development at TANet)、IPv6 網通設備展示(Taiwan's IPv6 Network Devices)。在 IPv6 智慧生活體驗區可實際體驗藉由 IPv6 技術帶來的網路電視、視訊電話、居家保全、健康照護及節能省碳等智能生活,在學術網路 IPv6 成果展示區則介紹學術網路在 IPv6 網路佈建與 IPv6 網路電話等推動成果,IPv6 網通設備展示區由友訊(D-Link)、合勤(ZyXEL)及偉僑(WELLTECH)向 APEC 各經濟體組織展示我國自行生產的 IPv6 高科技設備。

    在電信、傳播、資訊匯流的全球趨勢下,本次會議已拓展我國通傳產業的國際視野,

    在 IPv6 網路方面更成功的展示我國發展經驗與技術能力,希望未來能持續展現我國技術發展之軟硬體實力,增進與國外產官學研機構專業交流、互惠合作及技術分享的機會。

    Conclusion

    • IPv4 Depletion Crisis is gaining more attention now!!!

    • Chinese Taipei Internet is being upgraded from IPv4 to IPv4/IPv6 coexist.

    • Driven by the IPv6 program, TANet, TWAREN, ISP, Telecoms, and the vendors are getting involved.

    • IPv6 promotion is a global effort.
