    Dear Brothers and Sisters,

    This is our last letter as your WorthyPresident and Madam President and wewould like to take this opportunity to thankthe members, officers, trustees, employeesand friends of Castle Rock EaglesAerie#3947 for the enjoyable andrewarding opportunity to serve an importantcommunity organization that deserves togrow and prosper. We reaped the harvest

    of critical volunteers; men and women whowere willing to serve in an official capacityor to be an ongoing unofficial resource tothe Club. Thank you all.

    We look forward to supporting the newleaders and the work of the Club in thefuture. As with the many Presidents beforeus, “People Helping People” guides our EaglesClub, so to our fellow members we say: Get

    Involved - It is your Club and in order for itto continue, it relies on each of you to beinvolved.

    We, the members of the Fraternal Order ofEagles Aerie #3947 and its Auxiliary, would

    like to thank our Officers and Trustees fortheir dedication and hard work over the past

     year. It is not an easy thing to give up hoursand hours of time with family and career tohelp us keep our Aerie running. Your effortshave not gone unnoticed and we appreciateall that you have done.

    We look forward to another great year at

    Aerie #3947 as we prepare to elect a newgroup of officers and a trustee. We areespecially grateful to those who make thecommitment to return for yet another yearof guiding us in our fundraisers, specialactivities, and operations. Your commitmentis appreciated.

    Update on proposed revisions

    to our by laws:

    Both revised versions to our By-Laws wereadopted by at least a two-thirds vote of allmember of the Aerie present and voting atthe last meeting. The locally approvedrevised By-Laws will be submitted induplicate to the Grand Aerie. Onceapproved by the Grand Aerie they shallbecome effective.

    VOTING DAYS ARE HERE!

    Voting for our newofficers and atrustee will be heldin the Social Room

    from 11:00am to7:00pm on May 10th.

      Election results will be confirmedduring the Aerie meeting on May 10th at 7:00pm.

      Auxiliary Elections will be during theMay 10th meeting. If all positions areunopposed, an election may not be

    necessary.

    Did You Miss An Activity?

    Please check thecalendar so you canarrange to join us forour special activities asa participant and/or avolunteer.

    Wednesdays are Burgers & Bingo nights.Linda’s Burgers are servedfrom 5:00pm-7:30pm. Bingo starts at 6:00pm and is agame of Straight-line Bingoand Blackout Bingo all in onegame. So DON’T clear your

    card/s after the Straight-line win becausewe keep going for the Blackout winner! It’s

    $2 per card or 3 cards for $5. Take thenight off from cooking and come have somefun!

    Mother’s Day Brunch – May 8th – Moms eat free! Meals are $6 and mealsfor children under 12 are $3.Come on in early. We’ll be serving from

    10:30am-12:30pm. Come spoil MOM!

    We need Members to help with the interiorand exterior cleaning of our Club. “With

    A Bit of News

      Our Eagles Club is now selling 20 lb.bags of ice for $1. If you want abunch, please call in advance.

      Reminder: There is no parking across

    the street from the Aerie before6:00pm. There is a new tenant in thebuilding. He says it’s okay to parkthere after 6:00 and on weekends andholidays. We are grateful and thankfulfor that!

      FACEBOOK – A great way to keep upwith all things #3947. We add photos,

    kitchen and a private bar!

    *Closing time will be later if there are six

    or more members, guests, or customerspresent or if there is a special eventscheduled. Our Social Room hours are based on the participation of our members.If there are fewer than six people in theSocial Room, we may close early due to theoperating expenses involved in remainingopen.

    Life

    Jim and Joni Mattox would like to offer

    their heartfelt thanks to everyone whohas called, visited, and prayed for Jim’srecovery from a stroke suffered on April12th. He is now in rehab and on the mend.He is hoping to be home soon.

    Sylvia Brownell is in the hospital. Wewish her a speedy recovery as well.

    We hope to see all of these membersback in the Club soon.

    Stay well everyone. Spring is here andsummer is not far off. It’s time to getout and enjoy our wonderful Colorado outof doors.

    scrumptious meals. Brent does our steakdinners and Linda surprises us with a variety ofculinary delights.You can check the calendar for steak nights andyou can call the Club to find out what’s cookingon Linda’s Fridays.

    Friday Dinner Nights also offer one game ofBLACKOUT BINGO. Cards are $2 each or 3cards for $5. Come have some fun at yourClub!

    during the summer.)
