Free in the App Store: https://appsto.re/us/yE- DC.i (there is a teacher App and a student App). Teachers can give formative assessments through quizzes, quick question polls, and exit tickets within the App. Socrative will instantly grade, aggregate, and provide graphs of results to guide instruction. 3. For middle school or high school language arts teachers: Do you know Books That Grow? This website and App, with a free account, provides high interest reading level books, where the students can adjust the reading level up or down, and the font for easier reading. Get the App free in the App Store https://appsto.re/us/m_MKZ.i (Special thanks to Sherry Conley for this one) 4. Do you know Learnist? Free in the App Store: (caution: rated 17+, so students cannot get it, but teachers can.) https://appsto.re/us/hFmrX.i Learnist is a social learning and networking tool, where teachers can find, learn, and share using Learnist. Joanne has worked for EACS for 15 years and is the primary HELPdesk person, answering phone calls and emails from all corners of the district regarding anything from a jammed headphone port to finding a lost or forgotten file. If you have a question regarding anything technology, call or email HELP. Fun technology fact: Bionic contact lenses are being developed to provide a virtual display and wifi connectivity that could have a variety of uses from assisting the visually impaired to measuring the glucose levels of the diabetic, and informing parents or nurses when measurable glucose levels are not maintained.
