Theoretical Background
Increase the use of English as a tool for international communication;
Global Aims in English
Enable digital inclusion of teachers for access to online learning opportunities;
Ensure that every teacher and learner of English worldwide has access to quality language services from the UK.
Regional English Project
Aim: to create opportunities for Public Sector Teachers by providing access to quality Continued Professional Development, in particular to narrow the gap between resources and EL opportunities available to more affluent and urban communities, and those which are poorer, or in remote and rural areas.

• MOODLE (Virtual Learning Environment) Initial online orientation period
• 150 hours (3-5 hours per week) over 11 months
• Brazilian e-tutors trained in Distance Education and awarded e-Tutoring Certificate
• Self-Assessment at the end of each unit
• Periodic evaluation by e-tutor of quantity and quality of forum posts and written tasks
