1 Hardware Quick Start 1.1 Power Input and Consumption

1.1.1 Power Control Box for 100V The 100V (100~120V) Power input consists of two

cables. AC2 cable has three lines, (L/N and ground).

AC1 is for Inverter. AC1 consists of a Red line and a

black line. Please follow the instruction to setup your

1.3.1 Display ON / OFF Manually The Panel contains Power switch, circuit breaker and cable connectors. Steps for 100V Power Control Box

Turn on: Turn on the main power switch (Power Control Box) then IPC will power on.

Turn off: Turn off the power switch of the IPC.

NOTE: If the operating system crashes, please press reset button to restart the IPC and then press power

switch again.

1.3.2 Display ON / OFF Automatically You can preset on and off for the display and IPC at a certain time through the software application. When the

preset time is up, the display will be powered on automatically, and the IPC will be triggered to power itself on too. If

you have preset the item of startup in the software application, the content of the assigned schedule or external

multimedia device will be played automatically. (Refer to the software manual for details)

NOTE: The main power switch must be always on.

1.3.3 IPC Operation You can use LCM panel to operate the IPC without keyboard and mouse.

Basic Operation:

Steps

1. Save contents to a Flash Media card. (Media files must put in the root directory when you use LCM playing.)

2. Insert media card into the 8-in-1 Card Reader.

3. Choose the control item “Player Control”.

4. Choose the sub-menu “File Source”.

5. Select “All Content” to play the all media.

NOTE: 1.Refer to P.18~19 “Operation Tree of the IPC LCM” for more menu items, please. 2. For more instruction of IPC, please refer to the IPC User Manual.

1.3.5 Spin Speed Setting The spin speed of the display images. The more “X” is the faster it spins.

Steps

1. Choose the control item “Monitor System”.

2. Press Up to increase, or Down to decrease. “Fixed” means to stop spinning.

NOTE: 1.Refer to P.18~19 “Operation Tree of the IPC LCM” for more menu items, please.

Time Setting Bracket Storage compartment OFF is Always OFF Set present time: Rotate the center knob in the arrow direction (i.e. clockwise) to set the time. The present time

can be set in 1-minute units. (For example, 16:31 as shown in the figure) Don’t rotate the knob counterclockwise. Insert the Time brackets: Two kinds of Time setting brackets are provided, ON (Gold) and OFF (Silver). The time

segmentation unit is 15 minutes.

2 Function / Maintenance Introduction 2.1 AP3 Quick Operation

2.1.1 Start Program To activate AP3, click “START/Programs/ DynaScan AP3/DSPlayer to Start. Normally, the AP3 is running if PC

power on when your computers are from DynaScan. Double click and AP3 will be restored.

2.1.2 Main Menu and Functions of Buttons Four Sections on Main Menu

Section 1. Those buttons

are the main Menu of AP3

Section 2. Video Play control: This part is the control

bar for controlling the playing item

Section 3. Function operation area.

2.1.3 Schedule Editing 5. Click to select schedule editing. 6. Set the Media type as Sequence File.

7. Drag the editing file as following picture.

8. Select the media file you need.

9. Drag the file to the box and editing schedule.

To setup the background sequence file,

1. Set the Media type as Sequence File

2. Click to select path and select the file you need. 3. Drag the file to the box as following picture.

2.1.4 Edit Layout Presetting Layout AP3 provides seven layout settings. Click the layout you want, AP3 will load the layout into the editing section and

you can start to edit. The Preset layouts are undeletable.

Content Setting There is no content for newly made layout frames. If you do not assign any content to one frame, it will display a

black ground when playing. Click Start Run button to summon the Startup Run Setup window, and then assign

the content and the description of this content. The content with parameters to adjust will show the button beside description, and you can click it to setup.

2.1.5 Image Spin Speed Select the spin speed of the image(s) on the display screen. It is a drop-down list, and the options cannot be

changed, 8 Sec, 16 Sec, -- to 120 Sec. The 8 Sec. means the drum image takes 8 seconds to rotate a round. The

default setting is “Fixed”. This means that image(s) is displayed on the screen in a fixed position. You can choose

any of them to fit your needs.

2.2 Ground Mounting For Safety Reason, you must do the ground mounting to fix the display on the ground.

Steps

1. Stop the casters.

2. Lift the display a little up by counterclockwise turning the stoppers.

2.3 Caster Decoration Circle

1. Put the Bracket under the

base and align with the four

screw holes.

2. Use a screw driver to fasten

the bracket with four screws.

Note: You can follow the direction to setup another bracket on the opposite side of the base.

3. Fasten the decoration semicircle with

screws. Please fasten another side of

the circle with the same procedure.

4. Fasten another semicircle as

the procedure as above.

5. Setup the plastic cover as the picture shows.

Note: Please make sure that you align the tenons with the mortises.

3.3 AP3 Default Settings

Click to start option settings. Default settings are shown below. Setting

Auto Startup Enable To auto activate AP3 when the computer starts.

Biling Record Enable User Define Activate the function to keep the log. It needs to reopen AP3 to enable the setting.

Computer ID User Define To set a computer ID number for Biling Record for easy maintenance.

VMR9_RL Frame Reversal Disable It's necessary to check it when you'd like to display a upside down content. Select VMR9_RL as accelerator and close it. Reopen AP3 to enable the setting.

Content in Sequence Preload User Define To shorten the blank interval between clips. It only supports Media File, Capture & Picture. Accelerator VMR9 _ WL supports this function.

Setting

Serial Port COM3 Select Monitor System connection port. Default setting is COM3.

Protocol Ver. Auto Select a correct monitor system edition. Default setting is Auto.

Display Adjust User Define

Forward: Move the screen clockwise.

Reverse: Move the screen counterclockwise.

Save: Save the setting.

Power Control Enable Enable

Forcefully turn ON or OFF the display power.

After Power off, you can’t power on the display until six minutes

later. This is for the safety reason. However you can power on the

display before the countdown is due by pressing the “Force Power

On”.

Warning: “Force Power On” may cause damage to the display.

Please don’t press the button unless you are sure that the display is

completely stop operating.

Outside Power Off Enable Disable

Check the checkbox to enable the setting. When the IPC is turned

off by any way except the shutdown time, such as pressing the

Power button. IPC will shut the display as well.

3.5 Disposal Notices

Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste,

use separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for

information regarding the collection systems available. If electrical

appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances

can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging

your health and well-being. When replacing old appliances with new

one, the retailer is legally obligated to take back your old appliances for

disposal at least for free of charge.
