The radically improved DWC subs are Dragster’s flagship in SPL arena. The revolution is here featuring technologies not yet seen. Due to a new concept design, the suspension is fixed to a metal ring outside the cone, so the diaphragm area covers almost all the overall dimension of the woofer both in 12” and 15. The DWC228.1 by 12” has a similar area than the previous DWC258 by 15”, while the DWC258.1 has a diaphragm similar to an 18” woofer. This means a tremendous power capability supported by the enormous magnetic motor.

Another new sub series welcomed to SPL competitors worldwide, just a step below the renewed DWC series. Modern technologies, the strong looking impact is just a shell for the incredible stuff inside. The voice coil impedance by dual 1.5+1.5 ohm. The result is a power by 1000/2000W and a short burp at 4000W (3 second only, please!).

These High End subwoofers are ideal for those people who want faithful reproduction of low frequencies together with a high sound pressure level. The new design of the magnetic unit and the use of new, lighter materials for mobile masses (honeycomb cones) and surrounds provide for the high level performance that can be obtained. The new voice coil that comes from the DWC models allows the subwoofers to be used safely in the most extreme situations. This well-known series of Dragster loudspeakers comes from a winning idea, that of joining powerful magnetic motors with heavy, damped cones, in order to permit the reproduction of deep, non-distorted low frequencies in small loads. These special parameters make it possible to use them in sealed boxes, obtaining a fast, damped reproduction and also in vented boxes for maximum SPL performance. The non pressed pure cellulose cone, the double layer high excursion, Styrofoam surround, the voice coil former in Kapton and the die-cast aluminium, scratchproof, aerodynamic basket make these subwoofers, ideal for most applications. In particular, the DWE have won the praise of the specialised press for their excellent performance in their category.

The subwoofers in the DWA series guarantee high quality performance and sound pressure, setting new price/quality levels. The special solutions used, such as powerful magnets, thin air gap and light pure cellulose cones provide for an increase in sensitivity, precious dB, that allow higher volumes using the same amount of power. The components used also belong to other, higher classes: large Styrofoam surrounds, back plates shaped for high excursions, super-damped enamel baskets, Kapton voice coil formers and NomexTM spiders. The electro-mechanical parameters allow the subwoofers to be used in the most varied configurations.

ENCLOSURES

The woofer enclosures are today the modern solution to get bass sounds immediately without complicated and expensive structures. The ones offered by Dragster produce distortion-free sound pressure level with deep, damped reproduction of low frequencies, ideal for completing any in-car audio system. Available in two common configuration, reflex (DER series) and bandpass (DEH series) enclosures, they use the characteristics of the loudspeakers used to the best advantage, providing a valid, fast alternative to the use of loose woofers.

The new DTX series is probably the most advanced selection of tweeter designed for high-end car audio systems. High efficiency, huge power, different shape and dimensions, all of the offered tweeters are at the top of worldwide market. The two-way DSK systems are the expression of a project where power and quality are in pole position. The mobile aluminium 50mm (2”) voice coil, the large, ultra-straight magnetic circuit and the hard polypropylene cone loaded with graphite make musical reproduction extremely accurate and also provide a maximum SPL that is typical of much larger loudspeakers. The unusual ability to reproduce low frequencies allows the musical signal to be reproduced in an exceptionally realistic way, with high emotional impact. They have been largely renewed compared to the previous DSC versions, and are made up of midbasses with fiberglass cone and a particular high-dispersion, cone-shaped phase-plug and the tweeter DTH 125.2. The kit is completed by a new passive filter with metallized polypropylene capacitors and air wound inductances that equalises and directs the two drivers for the reproduction of dynamic, transparent sound. This is the perfect choice for the modern user and for quality sound competitions. In this new version you can install the tweeter as coaxial mode, saving space and time of installation, having a great result. The kits also include grilles and components for installation.

The two-way DSE systems provide the possibility of fitting loudspeakers into a car that does not have any or of replacing the standard ones. For a small cost, the user manages to obtain a sound that is typical of Dragster. The component materials used, similar to the higher level series, such as the AluMylar cone and the new tweeter DTH 121.2 make sound reproduction accurate and enjoyable, that can involve even the most distracted listener. The high efficiency allows full use even with just an amplified car radio. The kit includes passive filters, new custom grilles and installation components.

The tweeter to reproduce the high frequencies is the DTH 121.2 in the latest version with 3 possible way of mounting. An efficient 2-way crossover completes the audio system that we strongly recommend as the first installation Dragster.

This series of coaxials, which improves year by year, is one of the most popular on the market, and is close to perfection. The optimal choice for those who want top performance from two-way loud speakers in coaxial configuration.
