Professional Activities
PROFESSIONAL AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS
The student are generally encouraged to arrange the activities like Business Buzz, Business Idea
Presentation, Mock Industry Show, Mock Interviews, Marketairs, H.R meet, Industry Meet and
Seminars on recent topics, workshops on student development topics, Sports meet, cultural activities
and arranging events in collaboration with the local industries and other management institutes of the
city.
STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN PROGRAMME ADMINISTRATION
The students voluntarily take initiative in all the regular and extracurricular activities like seminars,
guest lectures, exhibitions, presentations and arrangements of industrial tour etc. Case studies
workshops are also independently handled by the students with active guidance from the faculty
members.
Thus the institute has carried out many activities which has helped the students of management to
develop their personality and discover the leadership qualities among them.
Communication classes and workshops taken by the institute helps the students to overcome
their stage fear, improve presentation, improve communication skills & interpersonal skills.
Some other activities conducted in the communication workshop are poster making, group
discussion, role play, story completion, management games, ice breakers which help the
students to groom themselves and achieve their task, build teams, make their vision tangible and
accomplish the predetermined goals with developing affective leadership qualities.
The Institute had arranged a role play event, “LAKSHYA”. In this event many students
participated in group with different topic’s and manage a situation such as launch of new
product some technical problems, finding solution for them. LAKSHYA gave an opportunity to
the students to collect the information of great leader’s success stories and present it with a
moral.
Institute holds the activities like seminars and presentations as a part of the curriculum which
helps them to enhance their knowledge and develop presentation skills.

1] NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS: IMPACT AND
CHALLENGES
The Institute had organized a 2-day National Conference on the topic ‘Global Financial Crisis” on 24th
and 25th April 2009 which was a huge success as more than 100 participants from various parts of the
country participated and around 50 papers were presented on topics related with the financial crisis
viewed from different angles.
The inaugural function was presided by Dr, V.H.Sawant-Dean, Faculty of Management Science,
Dr.BabasahebAmbedkarMarathwada University-Aurangabad..The Chief of the function was Mr.Sandip
Mukherjee-Director, Operations Luxury Hotels (India),Taj Hotels while Prof.AnjaniKoomar –Sr.Group
Vice-President(HR),Varroc Group of Industries delivered the keynote address.
Among the highlights were papers presented by distinguished academicians highlighting
the reasons and possible implications and likely remedies in the aftermath of Global
Financial Crisis.

The Valedictory Function was equally impressive. The highlight of the function was the
hard hitting speech delivered by the Chief Guest Mr.RamBhogale-Chairman –Nirlep
Group of Industries.MrShobhitKhatri of TajGoup of Hotels also presided over the
function.

2] PANEL DISCUSSION ON UNION BUDGET
The Institute organizes Panel Discussion on Union Budget in collaboration with
Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) in every year in the month
of March. The panel Discussion is a post budget discussion on the effects of various
policies introduced by the budget on various sectors of the society.
3] MOCK INDUSTRY SHOW
Institute organize the Mock industry show in which students form a hypothetical
industry and carry out all management functions like marketing of product, recruitment
and selection, financial management etc.

4 WORKSHOP ON RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Millennium Institute of Management regularly organizes workshops on the different
topic related to management and management research. Faculties and Students from
different parts of Maharashtra participate in the workshops. This year we had arranged
the workshop on “Research Methodology and Statistical aspects of research” which
proved to be not only very successful (participated by about 100 participants) but also
highly beneficial (as the feedback reports suggests).

The workshop which was attended by faculty members and research students from
various colleges of Aurangabad was inaugurated by the vice-chancellor and concluded
by the BCUD Director, was also attended by the Registrar and dean of the Faculty
Management Science besides several other distinguished persons from academic circle
of Aurangabad and they not only appreciate the resource person, Dr.SachinKamble(who
was invited from the prestigious NITIE,Mumbai and enthralled the participants),but also
lauded the efforts taken by the Millennium Institute in arranging the workshop, with all
the excellent arrangements and assured that such programmes will be not only arranged
by University but will also encourage other institutes to follow the same.

Institute organize the Blood Donation Camp annually under the social responsibility of
the educational sector.

Fresher’s Party is an introductory function for the new comers where they get to know about the
adopted culture of the institute of which they are going to be part of. It is a function where the

Farewell Party is a valedictory function for the passing out students who are about to start their
