1. Introduction

1.1 Introduction from the Clerk of the CourseIt gives me great pleasure to present to you with Rally Guide 1 for the 2013 Donegal International Rally and extend

to you a Cead Mile Failte to Donegal for the rallying, the hospitality and the craic.

I hope this will provide a taster of what is to come, and encourage you the competitor to book your place on the

Entry List, or if you are a back-up crew, marshal or spectator, book your accommodation and stay the week-end in

the County.

Again the event is a qualifying round of the 2013 Irish Tarmac Rally Championship.

The Mount Errigal Hotel will host Rally Headquarters for this the 41st Donegal International Rally. Again many of

the familiar International Stages have been retained with centralised servicing for each of the three days.

Once again the Donegal Historic Rally is included in the Tarmac Historic Championship, using many of the Classic

Stages ideally suited to Historic Cars, along with the highly competitive Junior event.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the Organising Committee for their efforts and hard work on

this year's event, also all our Sponsors, Residents, Landowners, Ordnance Survey, Eircom, Garda Siochana, Donegal

County Council & Government Departments, Media, Filte Ireland / Bord Filte and all who have contributed

towards the 2013 Donegal International Rally.

On behalf of the Club, I wish you a safe and enjoyable weekend and hope you will savour the hospitality that awaits

5. Reconnaissance

5.1 Registration

Reconnaissance Registration will take place as follows:

5.2 Rules and Regulations

The maximum speed allowed on a stage during reconnaissance is 60 kph unless a lower limit is indicated by

a traffic sign or a written instruction issued by organisers. Traversing the stage in the wrong direction is

expressly forbidden. Reports of breaches of above regulations will be submitted to Motorsport Ireland who

may convene a court of inquiry.

5.3 Marking of the Route

The correct route of special stages will not be indicated by arrows along the stages during

reconnaissance. Chicanes will be marked on the road.

5.4 Pacenotes

Pacenotes will be allowed on the event and competitors will be allowed to make pacenotes on

Pacenotes will be available for sale by third parties. The club has no involvement in their preparation and

accepts no responsibility or liability for their accuracy or otherwise.

All competitors are required to have door decals on their car and have the first part of the Mechanical

scrutiny sheet completed before they present the car for scrutiny.

Logbooks are required for all cars.

Trailer Parkis located at Donagheys Motor Homes Yard, Drumnahoe, Letterkenny.

After completing Mechanical scrutiny competitors are required to present themselves at documentation

scrutiny. You are allowed 30 minutes to get from Mechanical scrutiny to documentation scrutiny.

Parc Ferme on Thursday 20th

June is compulsory for competitors immediately after scrutiny.

After completing mechanical scrutineering competitors are required to present themselves atdocumentation scrutineering. You are allowed 30 minutes to get from mechanical scrutineering to

documentation scrutineering.

Competition licences, IRDS or BRDS Letters of Acceptance and other documentation must be presented at

documentation scrutineering.

Driving competing cars off specified route to/from Scrutiny may lead to Exclusion.

There will be a Ceremonial Start in Market Square, Letterkenny after 20:30hrs. (See Appendix 2)

8. Service Areas

8.1 Location

The Service Parks are located at a different location for each day of the event.

(i) Friday Service area is in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal,(ii) Saturday Service area is in Milford Mart, Milford, Co. Donegal, and,(iii) Sunday Service area is in Milford Mart, Milford, Co. Donegal,(iv) Trailer Park is located at Donagheys Motor Homes Yard, Drumnahoe, Letterkenny.

8.3 Services

A skip will be available in the Service Areas. Please use this to dispose of all rubbish.

Portaloos are located at the start of selected stages(but not all) & in the Service Parks. All competitors must use a large non porous Service Mat when in the Service Park.

9. Start Procedure

10.1 Start

The start of the event will take place immediately after the Drivers Briefing at An Griann Theatre on the

Port Road on Friday 21st

June at 11:15a.m. The Drivers Briefing is compulsory for all crews taking part in

any category in the event.

Crews must follow the route specified in the Road book and follow the instructions of the marshals inparking the competing cars in the area around the An Griann Theatre.

All crews are required to wear their race suits.

10.2 Drivers Briefing

A drivers briefing will take place at 09:30 on Friday 21st

June in An Griann Theatre, Port Road, Letterkenny.

All competitors must attend.

10.3 Start of the Rally

The start of the rally will be at the Start Ramp on the Port Road after Drivers briefing.

10. Finish of the Rally

11.1 Details

All crews will pass over the finish ramp located at the front of the Rally HQ, Mount Errigal Hotel. The crews

will then pass to the Parc Ferme.
