The different point of view about sin The Jewish point of view about ORGINIAL SIN. Christian Science tell us that sin is an illusion. The liberals tell us that sin is simply finiteness; to be human is to get it wrong. The dualistic philosophers tell that sin is the flesh, as contrasting to the spirit.

LET ME GIVE YOU A DEFINITION OF SIN: Sin is any personal lack of compliance to the moral character of God, or the law of God. The sin is a temperament of the heart

o It is a bento It thinks evilo It speaks evil; it acts evilo It omits good.

There are four ways you sin then:o By thinking evil, speaking evil, performing evil and omitting good.o Sin when you do, when you say, when you think, or when you don’t do, say, think what

God commands you to.o So it is commission.

What is our standard for what is evil?Once it was established by the Bible.But that is changing today.To the point it is harder and harder to define morality.

There will be a day when no one will be able to walk into a court and hold up a standard.

The standard for morality, righteousness, and unrighteousness is Scripture. If there are no standards then we have no definition of sin.

THE NATURE OF SIN . What characterizes sin?

1 Sin is corrupt. It is a poison It is ugliness across the face of beauty
