1 INTRO FROM YOUR LTG Hey there, Division 19! Welcome to the wintry wonder of December! Unfortunately, alongside the impending snow and holiday celebrations, the activity of many clubs seems to freeze with the weather. We, however, cannot let this happen! The winter is the time when people need our help the most, and so keep on helping others through both fundraising and service! Within this issue of “Neepam’s Newsletter,” you will find a recap of our Generosity Rocks concert, a flyer regarding Target: Eyesight, and so much more! Looking back, I can hardly believe that there are only four months left in this service year. As Key Clubbers, it’s our job to make the biggest possible impact in this little time. I look forward to working with all of you as we make the coming winter a little less cold with the warmth of our hearts. ISSUE IX, DECEMBER 2010 2
Every year, clubs the state over
look forward to the epic Awards
ceremony during the Saturday night of
DCON. But, even though only a few
clubs can win on Saturday Night, any
club has the chance to be a winner
during the Saturday Morning Awards
Ceremony! That’s right, every year,
outstanding club officers are
recognized for their hard work and
dedication to both the New Jersey
District of Key Club and to Children’s
Specialized Hospital!
Of course, you may be asking
yourself, “Am I eligible to be
distinguished?” Well, if you’ve been
doing your job as an officer, and
have attended necessary District and
Divisional events (like RTCs, OTCs, Fall
Rally, and, if you’re President, PCMs),
then you are certainly on the road to
getting distinguished! All you have to
do now is to keep up the amazing work
for the remainder of your term in office!
While with all your other activities this
may prove difficult, with proper time
management, you can do it. Good
luck and have great final few months in
office!

ISSUE IX, DECEMBER 2010 3
On Thursday, December 9, 2010, Key
Clubbers from all across Morris and Essex
Counties descended upon Parsippany High
School for the first round of the Generosity
Rocks musical competition. The show
kicked off at 7PM with a performance from
Division 19’s very own Amanda Lustbader,
and continued throughout the night, with
notable performances by fellow Division
19ers Less Than Three, The Lobaton Project,
and The Minorities.
However, while all eleven acts were
outstanding, only four could be chosen to
move on to the next round of competition.
Beatboxer Patrick Wu, Singer Katie
Reardon, and singer/acoustic guitar
players Ashli Gonzalez and Arvin Zablerio
were chosen alongside our very own The
Lobaton Project to move onto the next
round.
All in all, the night was able to raise
over $700 for CHildren’s Specialized
Hospital! Many thanks to everyone who
performed, to everyone who attended,
and to the Parsippany High School Key
Club for hosting such a wonderful event!
