The Episcopal Church Welcomes YouTHE WELCOME EXTENDS ACROSS 109 DIOCESES and THREE REGIONAL AREAS IN 16 NATIONS

At St Stephen’s Episcopal, we believe Christ is calling us to be a renewed church in a chang-ing world. Empowered by the Spirit of God, we respond to Jesus’ call as we deepen our bond with Christ through worship, become a community where all are accepted, and work together as laity and clergy to do God’s work in the world.

Wherever you are in your life with God -- whether a hesitant searcher or a regular churchgoer -- we invite you to worship with us and to think of St. Stephen’s as your spiritual home.

We meet in the Main Sanctuary for Eucharist at 10:30 AM each Sunday, followed by fellowship in Miller Hall. Our offi ce is in the building with All Saints Chapel.

The Christian Science Churchon South Whidbey

Mary Baker Eddy, in 1866, determined that there are divine laws of Life, Truth, and Love that Christ Jesus taught: “Our Master taught no mere theory, doctrine, or belief. It was the divine Principle of all real being which he taught and practiced” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures). Subsequently, she not only founded the Church of Christ, Scientist (Christian Science), but she also wrote Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures to explain this wonderful discovery.

Today, that text and the Bible serve as the only preachers in Christian Science churches; passages from each, arranged to explore one of 26 different Bible Lessons, are read aloud by designated members of the congregation during the Sunday service. People around the world gather each Sunday to hear this

same Bible lesson, pray together, and acknowledge God as the Principle of goodness and harmony.

The Christian Science Church on South Whidbey holds Sunday services, open to all, at 10:30 A.M.; Sunday School for students up to the age of twenty is available at the same time.

A Wednesday testimonial service is held on the rst Wednesday of each month at 7:30 P.M.; Wednesday services offer people the opportunity to share both their testimonies of

healings and their remarks about Christian Science. Everyone is welcome to join us in prayer and song to celebrate our heritage as the children of God.

Look for our sign on Highway 525 (across from Useless Bay) and come up our driveway; we have plenty of parking.

RESTORATION Fellowship

Is there more? After years of serving the Lord, of seeking Him, waiting on Him and pursuing Him, your desire for more intimacy, more understanding and more revelation has only increased. You’re ready to go deeper, beyond “milk,” beyond the “elementary principles”, beyond what seems to satisfy most other people.

You can feel Jesus’ calling you closer to His side. You’ve heard of, seen or tried new ways of serving, worship-ing or pursuing Him, but which

way is right? How can you sustain that sense of closeness, walking in alignment with Him, the sense of His drawing near to you, speaking to and guiding you every day?

We can relate. That’s what drew us together – a desire to seek the truth and delve deeper into our covenant with our El Shaddai. Through immersing ourselves in the Hebrew scriptures, as Jesus did, and re-connecting with the Hebrew roots of our Christianity, we are uncover-ing “new treasures as well as old.” Together we’re pouring over the scriptures from Genesis to Revela-

tion to let God’s word speak for itself and hear the Spirit’s leading, to discover the way of righteousness and walk in it.

The enduring joy and peace of the Sabbath, the richness and revelation of the feasts and holy days, the new depth of understanding and ap-preciation of the Messiah taught in the Hebrew scriptures −yes, there’s more. A lot more. Come experience it with us.

We are Restoration Fellowship – restoring the Hebrew roots of our faith in Yeshua (Jesus).

We meet every SaturdayAt Oak Harbor Christian School, 675 E. Whidbey Ave.

Churches of Christ are a brotherhood of believers that have obeyed the

gospel call of Christ. We are independent, undenominational congregations having no earthly hierarchical structure, but pattern ourselves a er the rst century church described in e New Testament where Christ is head of the church. Each congregation is self-governed and autonomous but is bound together with other congregations by our common allegiance to Christ and the Bible. About 27,500 congregations exist world-wide.

e New Testament is our pattern of church government. We regard ourselves simply as churches of Christ, (Romans 16:16) and we are simply Christians, members of the church Jesus bought with his blood (Acts 20:28).

Christ alone is God’s designated spokesman in this age (Hebrews 1:1-2). He alone has the

right to say what the church is and what His disciples should teach. His instructions are found only in the New Testament, our source for religious teaching and practice.

In the New Testament, worship is about pouring one’s heart and soul out to God, not enter tainment. Jesus said, “…a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24) To worship God in truth is to worship Him according to his Word, because His Word is truth – John 17:17.

South Whidbey Church of Christ is committed to the goal of being faithful to God and His Word, to be the church that Jesus Christ came to build. (Matt. 16:18) We

encourage independent Bible study as each believer comes to their own

faith. We encourage all sincere truth seekers to

join us as we love one another and seek

to please God and submit our will to His.

Are you looking to: • Expand your spiritual knowledge? • Be inspired to lead the life God

intended for you? • Strengthen your relationship

to the Divine?

If you’re one of the “spiritual but not religious” people who questions your childhood faith or is looking for something more, this may feel like a homecoming.

You may be one of the millions of people who have embarked on their own spiritual path. If so, you have just discovered a whole community of people like yourself. It is Unity—a spiritual movement that honors all paths to God; sees God as good and everywhere present; and affi rms the spark of Divinity in all of us. Unity also offers a positive, practical approach to Christianity, regarding Jesus as the great example rather than the great exception. Unity

interprets the Bible metaphysically rather than literally. Have you ever imagined that the Bible could be the story of your own life? It is just one of the tools available for powerful personal transformation.

We honor all paths to God, as we know we are all unique expressions of God in our world. We respect the truth wherever it is found, following specifi cally the truth teachings of Jesus Christ, our teacher and way shower.

Our Sunday Worship Celebration is at 10 AM, followed by a time of fellowship and refreshment.
