• In photo shop I had to add detail into the figure on the right. Originally a sketched outline which I had to build up into different layers.
• I had been given samples by my lecturer of a range of fabrics this helping me to make my person look more realistic.
• I started off by searching the net for the face crop the head and resizing the head with free transform.
• I used the magnetic lasso mainly to work on certain areas such as the trousers, using the gradient tool to fill colour within then I would use filters such as patch work to create a fabric look to the character.
• When looking at fabric samples such as lion and san titre I would use the clone stamp tool to select the area and then highlight the area using the magnetic lasso.
• The clone stamp would then help by the area I had selected and develop onto the figure.
• The shoes I had used originally a blurring tool to help give a different look to the figure but it didn’t seem to work well so I used another fabric and repeated the same development as I had before.
• At first I did find it difficult as I did forget some parts as I was trying to develop my figure.
• As the more I look at it the more I realise I should have tried more tools as I did rely on the magnetic lasso.
3D Studio Max• As I tried to get into 3d studio max it did
seem very complex. I did use the tutorials to help guide me as I tried developing my way in using the tools and having a better understanding as I had not used this function before.
• At first it was just developing areas using the simple tools such as the shapes and working out my perspectives which was being measured as I was creating.
• In the sample to the left I had worked using mainly developing a stage and creating a rough guide to what I was trying to create.
• Here I was trying to develop steps as I become more confidant with 3D studio max.
• The reasons I had created steps was to just think of what is needed within theatre one thing being steps to come
on to and exit the stage.
• Although it did seem very plain compared to the other class as they had a more realistic view then what I had created
• I started to use all four boxes as I was only using one to look at the perspective as the others showed different views of what would look wrong and right.
• After feeling more confidant I had created a simple stage using the same tools as before.
• This does seem affective and I was glad I had something to develop onto as I did find this very difficult at first.
• If I had the chance I would have concentrated more into creating a more realistic outcome. Hopefully the next time I use 3D studio max I will feel more confidant to create more outcomes within theatre.
