DLMAGAZINE SPREADHere we were to design page layouts with some articles we were provided.

For Vince Frost I chose Typography as the image.

DLIDENTITYThe brief was to design an upcoming identity for the Big Day Out festival. This was my logo and it looks great on a black t-shirt. The iphone app. is an added bonus.

DLBROCHURE DESIGNTo create the identity and promotional material for a new Australian Fifties Fair. Andy Warhol was my inspiration, the colours were from a 1950’s Album cover.

DLMAGAZINE COVERSWith this project we needed to create the first edition magazine cover, with the selling line, “Things to put your mind to.” The actual people were not to be included or their work but rather use them as the theme for the cover image.

We had to provide 2 examples and these are my examples.

DLPOSTCARD DESIGNThis is the Big Day Out Postcard.Only 2 spot colours were to be used and the image was to be in duo tone, with embellishments. I chose an accoustic guitar dieline, as John Butler is a guitar player.Red and black were the spot colours, with a varnish, which cannot be seen here. However, I chose to use this cream spot colour, to replace the lighter red.

DLPENGUIN BOOK COVERSThe brief was to illustrate and design penguin book covers, from a list of titles.

I chose these titles and I sketched them using charcoal pencil and I colourised them in photoshop.
