DEVELOPING
Developed Countries of the world are…• industrialized
• full of modern technology• people there live in
large towns and cities
• most people work in service jobs
• hold ¼ of the world’s population and ¾ of the world’s money
• very few poor live in developed countries
Developing Countries of the world are…
• agricultural
• contain little technology
• people there live in small towns and villages
• many poor and hungry
An estimated 24 people die every minute from hunger--most are children under 3
Developing Countries of the world…
• have lots of farming, but poor soil grows little food. People must farm if they want to eat--this is called subsistence farming.
For example, India has lots of food but there are so many
people no can find a job, so no one has money to buy food
• almost no education in a developing country
