Problem Statement
• Design a desktop organizer.• Base organizer must hold (8 ½ x 11)
paper, pencils and paperclips.• Must have a connection method that will
allow parts to be shared.• Must hold at least 5 optional parts.

Research and Generate Ideas• Look for different types of Organizers
• Investigate attachments and attachment Methods.
• Also look for colors, sizes, shapes, etc.
Identify Criteria and Specify Constraints
• Design a desktop organizer.• Base organizer must hold (8 ½ x 11)
paper, pencils and paperclips.• Must have a connection method that will
allow parts to be shared.• Must hold at least 5 optional parts.
• Selection Criteria:– Simplicity– Stability– Strength– Visual Appeal– Cost
• Each design was evaluated on a 4 to 1 scale for each criteria, with 4 being best.
