Local newsagent shop on the Bristol Road South is having hard times with the recession. Business owner of the local shop ‘Sharon Kaur’ tells us that she has owned the shop for 17 years. “Business back then was very successful. Everyone would come to this shop to buy their lo- cal newspaper aswell as other items the owner tells us. We was making money very easily. Back then there was no anti social behaviour. PeoplelivinginthelikesofLongbridgewouldchoosethisshopastheir local newsagents as there were no big supermarkets around this area. However now times have changed and become tough so acquiring stock for the shop is now a lot of money. But the success of the national lottery has gen- erated a lot of money for this business. The national lottery usually generates amongst £1000 to £2000 on the days which the main lottery takes place. Other ways we make quite a lot of money from cig- garettes and alcohol which is highly demanded. It is very demanding running a shop, especial- ly when the school children have finished school. You do get some school children which will steal a piece of item from the shop. However the door was not opening so Josh’s friend Kieran forced the door open which caused a shatter in the window. Both Josh and Kieran was called in by the prin- ciple of the college to discuss what had happen. It was inevitable that Kieran would get suspend- ed for this, but however Josh got suspended for this too but he did not even touch the window. Shop struggling with recession

Local Shop in Northfield strug-gling with the hard times of the rescission. Local newsagent shop on the Bristol Road South is having hard times with the recession. Business owner of the local shop ‘Sharon Kaur’ tells us that she has owned the shop for 17 years. “Business back then was very successful. Everyone would come to this shop to buy their lo-cal newspaper aswell as other items the owner tells us. We was making money very easily. Back then there was no anti social behaviour. People living in the likes of Longbridge would choose this shop as their local newsagents as there were no big supermarkets around this area.

However now times have changed and become tough so acquiring stock for the shop is now a lot of money. But the success of the national lottery has gen-erated a lot of money for this business. The national lottery usually generates amongst £1000 to £2000 on the days which the main lottery takes place. Other ways we make quite a lot of money from cig-garettes and alcohol which is highly demanded. It is very demanding running a shop, especial-ly when the school children have finished school.You do get some school children which will steal a piece of item from the shop. Student suspended from Bournville College

Student suspend-ed from Bournville College Bournville Studen Josh Warburton was an-noyed to hear that he would be suspended for a week for a crime he did not commit. 17 year old Josh who lives in the North-field area was walking with his friend in the premises of the college building on Oc-tober 13th when his friend tried to open the glass door, to walk outside the exit. However the door was not opening so Josh’s friend Kieran forced the door open which caused a shatter in the window. Stalemate At Villa Park

Aston Villa and Chelsea play out a 0-0 draw at Villa Park on a cold Saturday afternoon Aston Villa gave an impressive per-formance against the premierleague champions on Saturday at Villa Park. However Emile Heskey and Gabri-el Agbonlahor was both miss-ing with injuries for Aston Villa. Chelsea had their own injuries prob-lems as there was no Drogba or Frank Lampard playing for Chelsea. Chelsea performance was not at their best because of this. In the first half of the game Aston Villa dominated with possession as they came

close in the first ten minutes of the half. Stewart Downing recieved an astrayed ball from a Chelsea Defender which he pciked up and ran along the flanks of the right hand side of the pitch and-passed a through ball to Stephen Ire-land which he shot across the left hand side of the post missing by inches.

Another chance Aston Villa missed was a chance that had fallen to John Carew. He recieved the ball from an incred-ible tackle by Stepahn Warnock made a cracking tackle on Malouda to feed the ball onto Carew in which he just missed the far right hand of the post. Aston Villa started well in the game but then Chelsea got into their stride and dominated possession. Chelsea started the second half well, dominating possession. Chelsea had a corner which Ivanovic hit the frame of the cross bar with a bullet of a head. Anelka also had his shot hit off the post with a brilliant effort towards goal.Ciaran Clarke also hit the bar with a brilliant effort.

Didnt have to make too many saves but when needed he performed

Tried to gtet forward when he was not beind made to work

Looked solid and made some sound tack-les to prevent Chelsea from scoring.

Was out of position in centre back but looked solid. Made some good passes.

Looked solid in midfield but failed to score an easy one on one.

Looked accomplished on the ball but failed to convert a real chance.

Made some excellent crosses but other players failed to pounce.

Showed courage and excellence to try and attack and score against Chelsea.

Experienced physical battle with John Terry. Held the ball up well.
